This rhetorical question of: “why isn’t everyone obsessed with beating Golden State” seemed so compelling and logical at first, but I can’t help but feel it’s all so misguided and possibly unhealthy for a team that has yet to earn another berth to play GS in the WCF. At this stage of the season, should this even be a locker room, much less, GM’s point of obsession? Did we just pick up Carmelo thinking we can roll back the clock to game 6 and 7 WCF and miss a few less threes? Do we even have an identity? And if so Is GS even the team we should be forming an identity to be the foil to? All so Justice League vs. the Legion of Doom-ish. Or Asked a different way, does the team that finally topples GS even have to be built with having a positional answer at each position in mind. TheSage
I'm not really sure it's good to be 'obsessed' with anything. But even if we're obsessed with beating Golden State - we could definitely use some rebounding, and I understand we want to be small ball, but just ONE capable big man outside of Capela would sure be nice. This roster has some flaws even in spite of the Golden State obsession. The Napalm
That obsession almost got us to the finals if it wasn't for CP3's hamstring...so yes I would say it's healthy.
We have been without a legitimate big man for a long time. A top 5 PF/C would be nice. The Tripod Man
If the bar to a championship is the Warriors what are you playing for if not Championships? TheReeko_Htown
