    The Laker Channel?

I'm an avid Basketball Fan and love all things NBA but damn, it's like every time I turn on NBA TV, they're either playing old Laker games or recent Laker games! Are there any other NBA franchises?

nba tv is for casuals or even less than casuals... they're not interested in randos like nuggets, hawks, rockets, etc.

There are more Lakers fans than probably any other team. It’s a world renowned organization. For literally 50 years. AND it’s in LA. Of course they’re going to talk about them more. Because it’s low hanging fruit. There aren’t a bunch of global Rockets fans nowadays. Not nearly as many as the Lakers. It is what it is.

that said, I stopped watching espn years ago because
    A) it was super repetitive; and
    B) they’d always say “up next on sports center” and it would never be what they said was next.

I’m not in advertising, but I’m guessing people who like in depth, high brow sports commentary and analysis probably don’t buy a lot of products so they need to appeal to the demographics that buy ****.

Edit: just realized this is about nba tv not espn. Still applied. Nba tv only exists because the nba puts games on there forcing people to buy it. Or it’s bundled with a sports package.
