It's kind of interesting to think about, but we've been talking about the magic that the organization pulls every year, and I can't help but think, this might be it. The thing that separates this from past years is that I think most everyone was pretty much blindsided by this, relatively speaking. (props to DaDakota for getting the jump on everyone...lol) Most everyone was eyeing Rashard Lewis or Croshere, and the extremists Duncan. But there don't seem to be a lot of realistic expectations floating around anymore... What do you think? Is the $4.5 going to land us something better than Mo? And if we get him... what options does that free up? He's not the Messiah, but I don't see us conjuring up anyone better at this point... ------------------ WEBMASTER of SaveOurCuttino.Com "There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and STATISTICS..." - Mark Twain -
After he signs, I bet he will have been Mr. X. I do hope they get this guy. He's not perfect, but you have to look at what the guy CAN DO. Dan Marino got pushed to the very end of the first round of the NFL draft (even being bypassed by his hometown and collegetown pro Steelers) because scouts nitpicked his qualities to death. We'll see him in the Hall of Fame. Mo Taylor is a player who scores more than he rebounds-- but he does rebound. He's not Mo Lucas but he is a significant talent who will take scoring pressure off the backcourt (of course this is what Collins and Langhi are supposed to do!). If he doesn't demand the ball, his low-post scoring will be a great complement to the team. ------------------ Time is a great teacher-- only problem is it kills all its pupils.
I agree with you mainly, RR, but its Collier not Collins. lol [This message has been edited by DaneB (edited August 11, 2000).]
Thanks DaneB! That's the second time I've substituted Collins for Collier on this board. Speaking of boards, did Mo sign yet?! ------------------ Time is a great teacher-- only problem is it kills all its pupils.
