Super rich. Super akward. Super waffler. Super smug. Same state. Same hair style. Same phony "I'm blue-collar just like you" smile. They both seem to have similar views on the economy and social issues. The only differences between the two I can think of are their military career and how they came about their wealth. And for that matter is Mitt Romney that much different than Obama?
I think he's more like Nelson Rockefeller or George H. W. Bush, a competent leader who will be done in by the cultish standards of contemporary partisan politics. Half the points you discussed are a big part of why politics and political journalism suck now, too much ******* screen-testing.
Same state, same hair, same forced smile, same uber wealthy status, same likeability problems, same "flip flopper" label. He's more Kerry than Kerry was Kerry.
If he ran as a Republican, he sure as hell wouldn't, since he was pretty liberal for his day. Of course, if Ronald Reagan ran today, Republicans would tar and feather him too. So, that ain't saying much. It never ceases to amuse me how people seem to think that Republicans and Democrats from over 100 years ago have anything in common with their modern day counterparts.
Exactly. The Gilded Age for example saw the least amount of economic difference in policies between the two parties. Modern politics suck.

Romney would be such a better candidate if he didn't need to win a primary first. Just like McCain, he's had to attempt to leave every liberal thing he has ever done in the past. You can't be a moderate and win the the Republican nomination. It is very sad, because this country could use more moderates and less partisan bickering. It exists on both sides, but the Republicans, outside of a few, have taken it to the extreme.
i have an honest, sincere question for romney supporters... what do you like about him? what policies/positions of his do you like? the only person on this board who seems enthusiastic in his support of romney is korijou and when you ask him what he likes about romney he goes off on ron paul. anyone?
No, John Kerry is a Vietnam veteran and hero, who was awarded medals for his bravery, and wounded in the line of duty. It's not even close.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You believe the swift boaters who've been proven liars and wrong!???!!!???!??! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I thought anyone who had sense enough to eat at Union Square Cafe would be better than that. What a joke.
I suppose he has been successful as a businessman and as a governor, and is somewhat of a Washington outsider (but I wouldn't consider him that). I'm voting for Paul in the primary, even though it is a wasted vote for this election.
Kerry is kind of a tough guy but he acts like a puss -- well he did when he was running against Bush.
