Well, we all know the #1 Rocket of all time. What I was wondering is: is it too early to put McGrady up there at #2? Were Moses Malone or Clyde as dominating in a Rockets uniform as McGrady is turning out to be? My initial inclination is to answer "No, it's too early." But, man, watching him play and take over games, you wonder if even two of my faves, Malone (Moses) and Drexler, did this as consistently as McGrady has in his short Rockets career.

Moses was both on the team much longer than T-Mac and led us to the finals in 1981 when McGrady takes us there then u can start talking it is way too early to consider him the second best player in Rockets History.(BTW an argument can be made for Calvin Murphy as #3 even above McGrady Cal's a Hall of Famer McGrady is not near there yet)

Malone was a 2 time league mvp. Until tmac can carry us into the finals and get an MVP award, he will not be considered in the same breath.

He's definitely behind Moses, but he's definitely ahead of Dave Feitl.

Moses also averaged 31 and 15 in his last season here.

I would say that, if we had to put McGrady as a perfect median, he would be somewhere between Clyde Drexler and Sleepy Floyd. Or, if we were to broaden it a bit, he would fall right smack between Olajuwon and Jack Marin.

    :)

Most exciting 12 minutes of basketball I've watched in my life:

3rd Quarter, Game 3, Western Conference Semifinals, 1994.

I'd put Chuck ahead of Clyde.

tmac isn't close to being a hall of famer? i'd say he, shaq, duncan, kobe, and kg already pretty much have their tickets punched to the hall assuming no horrible injuries.

now, i guess we have to let tmac play longer but if we're just looking at how good someone has been while on our team for any given year i'd only put hakeem and moses ahead of him.

    I think you're overlooking a significant ex-Rocket.

I forgot about Chuck. He'd be right in there but he didn't win one. Still have to give the edge to Clyde even though I loved Barkley.

Moses Malone has to be the most underrated player in NBA history. How come every time they mention the great all-time center, you hear these names come up:

    Wilt
    Russell
    Abdul-Jabbar
    Olajuwon
    Shaq
    Robinson
    Ewing

How come Moses never gets mentioned? I swear, really, is there anyone as underrated as Moses Malone? I'd say no, except for maybe Dominique.

Moses is clearly better than Robinson and Ewing

If Yao can get it together he has all the potential to be the 2nd greatest.

Right now I like Elvin over Moses.
