What do you think about our #2 option at this rate? Has he fallen from the elite class of star swingmen wherein he used to accompany them dominating the position? It seems like his lost confidence and paranoia of being injured again has taken away his swagger and has locked him into the mindstate that he's better off passing the ball around instead of attacking other teams.
Its hard to say superstar because he isn;t in the limelight as much because of his scoring. I admit it I was wrong though. I thought he was done and finished. If he gets his FT% up I will be perfectly happy with TMAC. I sure wish he would hang out in my van.
Is T-mac going to get voted in as a starter to the All-start game? Maybe other fans aren't going to vote for him enough to start. I don't know if he'll be able to get in to the all-start game because it would be a tough decision to choose him over melo and other good forwards. That is if he keeps this up till February.
T-mac definetely is still a superstar. His assists and rebounds must be top ten in the leaque for a guard. No way our record is as good without him. The whole team struggles when T-mac goes out. Do not undervalue T-mac as a playmaker. Yao and others easily get 2-3 easy shots a game because of T-mac. Otherwise, we'll have an ugly grind it out team that will lose games by 2-6 points like we did last year.
Superstar often has more to do with popularity than ability. In popularity he still is and will probably make it to the Allstar game.
I think they have him listed as a guard this year. I don't think he deserves to be voted in as a starter. Nash and Kobe should have that locked up.
imo yes because this team does need a good supporting cast and without tmac supporting yao im not sure if we can go all the way. hopefully we get a 3rd option but its way too early to tell.
I'm going to give him UNTIL All-Star break to really see if he's still one of the best. And I don't mean All-Star break as in if he gets in, I mean that's ab out halfway into the season. I think we'll see what T-Mac really is right around All-Star break. He was injured a lot last season and he hasn't played in a while, I just don't think 18 games is enough. He was going to play great vs. Cleveland and he played great vs. GSW, I think he was tired during the Minny game so that's why I'm not going to count that against him so much. I said it before and i'm going to say it again, if T-Mac is on fire or feeling it a certain night, he's going to forget all about this little playmaker fantasy he has . He'll still make great plays, of course, but naturally if he can score more he will. Let's see how he plays tonight. If he plays good again tonight, I think we'll all know if he's still got it.
He isn't this year but it looks like SOMEONE (I wonder who) is heating up. And I don't mean this game only, against the Cavs he flashed it, against the Warriors he had it, Minny he was tired, and today he's on fire. If he keeps this up he's superstar again. NOW MCGRADY PLEASE KEEP IT UP. Athletic layups, driving to the hoop, jumpers all over the place. This is going to be good.
I can't believe there are folks that are against passing. The great ones pass!!!! Magic, Bird, Nash!!! MVPs. Blind scorers don't win (Wilkins, English, Theus) The thread starter should be complaining about McGrady's efficiency, not his willingness to pass. He's having a good efficient game against the Bobcats, so hopefully it will continue.
