All star game is at the corner, I believe this time Luis will be in the team again. However, I do not think he deserves it. As we can see on TV, what Luis can do now are just hit some jumpers alongside the baseline or near the free-throw line. Though Luis scores 20+ every night this season, his offense efficiency slumps somehow and his low post dream moves do not work quiet often. Thus, I think Luis is just a role player but not someone who can sholuder the team heading to playoffs.
Luis Scola never made the all star team. How does his offense slump? 19.7 points on 50% shooting is not efficient? What does "shouldering" the team have to do with being an all star? David Lee made the all star team last year and Mo Williams the one before that. I guess they are "shouldering" their respective teams as well.
There are better PFs in the West: Durant, Gasol, Melo, Dirk, Duncan, Griffin, Love He will never be an all-star.
while i don't agree with the OP 100%. i do agree that luis doesn't deserve to be an all-star because he isn't good enough. sure his stats are nice on paper, but he just doesn't play well against elite competition in the NBA.
Went from a hustle impact guy to what I feel to be more of a stat guy this year. Don't see him making it over Odom, Aldridge, Love, maybe Gay, etc...
negatory. scola is a blue collar, over-achieving pf... the perfect compliment next to a legit center. but not an all-star.
