Speaking on this matter alone, no, he has a tons of endorsments and things to do. Team USA also has someone like this if I'm correct, they shouldn't worry over him :)

Nope and whoever calls him selfish I hope they didn't bash Yao for playing for China when people did not want him to.

Eh who cares about that tourney. LeBron paid his dues on that 2004 Olympics team that none of our A-listers showed up for. Colangelo's an idiot if he holds a grudge over it.

Not at all. He can do whatever he wants and shouldn't have to listen to what others want him to do.

I'm not racist, I'm talking about the Chinese Basketball team, not the race or anything like that. Learn to use the word racist properly dumb ass. The Chinese team runs its athletes into the ground. Go and do some research, this has been covered in numerous threads and news articles.

I hope he isn't planning on being in London then if he doesn't participate in Turkey. I don't want him to be on Team USA if he's not going to start from the beginning.

I'm pretty sure they'd probably let the best player on the planet play in the Olympics if he chooses to when the world ends.

But somehow I think if LerBon gets a ring before then, he'd probably be more content in sitting out the Olympics.

    1) Look at what Colangelo said, it doesn't matter if he's the best player on the planet.. The U.S. has other guys that can play too... they don't need LeBron in order to win another gold medal.

    2) It's not about the ring really... I think it's more of just where he's going to go. If he doesn't get it, I don't think it'll change his mind. Not to mention, he has thing with Nike every summer that he does (the Asia tour) and then he also has his camp... all that plus his endorsements is probably what he's talking about while also mulling free agency which I mentioned before won't be based on the ring.

I read what Colangelo said, I just feel that 2 years later he probably would change his mind if LerBon wants in. A whole lot of things can happen in 2 years. Team USA has more than enough stars to win it without LerBon, Wade, Anthony, Kobe IMO... as long as at least one of them is in, so it wouldn't matter either way.

Still Colangelo said the right thing, even if I think he isn't completely serious.

I'm sure Coach K (or whoever will be coaching) and all the other coaches wouldn't mind either.

Also the reason why I brought the championship up is because LerBon might feel that he's got it all (Gold Medal, Ring, MVP's) and doesn't feel like he needs to prove anything else.

Yeah, but see that's not how it works. LeBron doesn't decide whether he's on the team or not. He can change his mind all he wants, but without Colangelo's approval he's on going on the boat. It's happened with multiple players: Arenas, Stoudemire, etc. It's a matter of bonding with your teammates for 1-2 summers before the Olympics start, that Chemistry. I'm pretty sure once they pick their 12, those are set, unless someone gets injured. There's a reason for this whole new process that Colangelo created, the commitment process of committing for all 3 years.

And also, about accomplishing everything, I don't think that factors in to this because after the Olympics were over in 08, both he and Kobe both said they'd like to win another if they could. Some players said an Olympic gold medal is better than winning an NBA championship.
