Is Landry becoming more or less likely to be traded?

Landry has become a BEAST for this team and the leader of the 2nd unit if not the whole team. RA was gushing over him during the post game presser tonight which got me to think that he is becoming more and more untradeable. One problem, if the Rox are going to make a mega deal he wil be the first guy they name as an asset because of his contract, ability and toughness. This puts the Rox in a great position but difficult because if they want a big fish like Bosh then Landry may be the one who would have to go and we have all grown so attached to "The Tooth" for the same reasons his value is sky"ROCKET"ing.

    Thoughts?

No way Landry gets traded or Hayes for that matter. The only thing that can possibly happen is an unloading of the wings in some kind of manner.

Unless the Rockets get a real star in return, do not trade him. His production, for that salary, can't be beat.

Your points are well taken, but the better he plays the less likely is the need for Bosh. Bosh is better, but Carl is making a name for himself in the league.

Only thing that is becoming more likely is the Rockets are going to have to give this guy a raise if they want to keep him.

Very less likely. He's our more consistent player who explodes off the bench. Excellent finisher. This isn't the stock market where a stock goes up and we sell if off... Oh wait.

Bosh is only better defensively IMO.

The only real necessity I see is a shot blocker. Other than that, I think the Rockets are set with their current group of guys.

Less likely, unless it lands a superstar player.

He is uber effecient on offense.....and so quick.

I really would like him to get with Hakeem, he is the one guy in the league that is quick enough to pull off those moves.

As our gm has stated in the past, he isn't making any moves unless we are getting an all-star caliber player in return. I love "Tooth" but if Morey sees a upgrade(and i'm sure we all trust his idea of what qualifies as an upgrade) we need to take it.

Less likely than Scola getting traded.

Definitely more likely. Before this season, there's no way the Rockets have the pieces necessary to bring in a star player. Now Landry, along with Brooks, Lowry and even Budinger, can suddenly become the necessary pieces.

Besides, Landry will soon be demanding $10+ mil a year and no longer be a moneyball player, so to speak.

I think he makes Scola expendable. IMO we could still see a Battier/AB/Scola/Cook trade for a Bosh. Ariza and Lowry making the other 2 expendable as well.

Should be interesting but someone has to go because AB, Scola, and Landry are all going to be looking for $$$$.

If you brought in Bosh and kept Landry you could perhaps stifle his salary demands a bit since he still wouldn't be a starter.

Morey has a ton of trade chips, I can't wait to see what the Wizard will do next.

Landry is worth 10 mil a year. DM knows how to reward good production.

It's funny to me how much fans speculate about all these major trades that will almost definitely not happen.

Who makes more then 10 million on the Rox besides TMAC/Yao?

As much as I love Landry, Bosh is better offensively and certainly defensively while in his prime. At the same time if Landry continues to produce someone will offer Landry a NICE raise in 2 years and the question will arise is he worth it? I say if Morey doesn't move Carl this season he should sign him up to an extension now before his value goes nuts.
