We are going to be pretty thin behind Scola and Hayes. Don't think Armstrong or Andersen is going to give us very much. Do you think we are going to roll Jeffries out there at the 4?
Jeffries will get trotted out there this season at the 4 or 5, but I think he takes Cook's spot on the bench when Yao gets back.
i was wondering a similar thing. i remember reading somewhere that he was a defensive specialist? does anyone know much about him/watch knicks games often?
Yes some... and also Hayes. We'll miss Landry in the 4th this year. But next year Yao will be that 4th quarter guy and if they double him watch out for kmart and brooks Hill won't see many minutes. Maybe 12 a game. He isn't ready.
I don't expect him to play. Morey doesn't want to destroy his trade value by trotting him out there and Hill look like garbage. I just don't think he can contribute without going through the learning curve and it would hurt our chances of using him as an asset in a trade this offseason.
Maybe Morey thinks he's the next Bosh and wants him to get as much PT as possible this developmental season to improve.
Im not expecting much from Hill this season as well, but I do see Jeffries helping especially on the defensive side of the ball. People are funny in that Isiah Thomas over paid for Jeffries and that apparently makes him a crappy player.
Idk, but I'm hoping they give all those minutes that belonged to Landry to Jordan Hill so he can develop, this is how I see the line up for the rest of the year... Lineup 09/10 Brooks/Lowry Martin/Taylor Ariza/ Budinger/*Battier Scola/ Hill/*Jeffries Hayes/ Andersen/ Armstrong * 20 min per game We seriously got to develop this young guy's so we can make a playoff run next year... --RB

There looking to make a serious playoff run this year and I don't think Hill is part of the plan this year, the kid is pretty raw right now.
No, he's not a crappy player because he's overpaid, he's a crappy player because he averages about 5 points and 4 rebounds in 28 minutes per game. For comparison, Chuck averages approx. 5 points and 6 rebounds in only 21 minutes per game. I do think Jeffries has a small amount of value on the court as a defensive player, but it's very small. He's basically a poor man's Chuckwagon and should only be used this year to give Chuck a little rest at the 5. When Yao gets back he's going to be worthless to us unless we trade one of our big men or let them walk in free agency.
