Hakeem Olajuwon is obviously number 1, and Harden would need two titles to just be in the conversation. But after #34, you can make the argument that James Harden is already the best Houston Rocket ever.

    His resume:
    • 4 seasons (and 9 games)
    • Made the playoffs every season
    • 2 playoff series wins
    • WCF appearance
    • 4 all-star appearances
    • 27 ppg 6.8 apg 5.4 rpg
    • 10 triple doubles
    • 3 player of the month awards
    • 10 player of the week awards
    • 4 top-10 MVP finishes (8th, 5th, 2nd, 9th)
    • Three 50 point games

    Compared to Calvin Murphy:
    • 13 seasons
    • 17.9 ppg 4.4 apg 1.3 rpg
    • 1 all-star appearance
    • 6 playoff series wins
    • 1 Finals appearance
    Moses Malone:
    • 6 seasons
    • 24 ppg 15 rpg 1.5 apg 1.6 blocks
    • 5 all-star appearances
    • 5 playoff series wins
    • 1 Finals appearance
    • 2 MVPs, 3 other top-10 finishes
    Ralph Sampson:
    • 5 seasons
    • 19.7 ppg 10.5 rpg 2.7 apg 1.9 bpg
    • 4 all-star apperances
    • 4 playoff series wins
    • 1 Finals appearance
    • 1 top-10 MVP finish
    Yao Ming:
    • 7 seasons (and 5 games in 2010-11)
    • 8 all-star appearances
    • 19.0 ppg 9.2 rpg 1.9 bpg 1.6 apg
    • 1 playoff series win
    • 6 player of the week awards
    Elvin Hayes:
    • 7 seasons
    • 4 all-star appearances
    • 20.6 ppg 12.2 rpg 1.9 apg
    • 0 playoff sereis wins
    Clyde Drexler:
    • 4 seasons
    • 2 all-star appearances
    • 19.0 ppg 6.1 rpg 5.4 apg
    • 1 championship
    • 7 playoff series wins
    Rudy Tomjanovich:
    • 11 seasons
    • 17.4 ppg 8.1 rpg 2.0 apg
    • 5 all-star appearances
    • 6 playoff series wins
    • 1 Finals appearance

Right now I would put him 3rd behind The Dream and Moses Malone. Moses got to the Finals and won 2 MVPs. Where do you think James Harden ranks?

    Dream
    Moses
    Harden

By seasons end at this rate he will be. I still have Moses number 2 for now.

Well, he might almost be the most hated? He will get a list or a poll really soon.

I don't think Harden's had the second most impactful record with the Rockets (that's Malone, sure) but I do think he's surpassed Malone as the second best player we've had here.

I don't feel strongly about it and wouldn't argue too hard against someone that believed that was still Malone's spot and that Harden was #3.

Certainly no other Rocket but Malone threatens to push Harden out of the second all-time best Rocket slot.

Hard to compete with two MVPs

    Harden 3rd behind Moses imo.

Harden Ahead of T-Mac as a Rockets player.
So, who came up with "Jerry Lin" and what does it mean?

    He's 3rd.

Anybody that said 2nd: y'all are idiots. Calling a spade a spade here. Y'all stupid.

Personally, I feel disrespected that Matt Maloney has not been given any consideration.

I think a 2 time mvp who made it to the finals should be ranked higher.
