Back to back wins over Pacers and Thunder. Haven't gotten the chance to actually watch the games, are they the real deal?
Good news is they are at the top of the West right now and their only home loss came against us when we whooped them.
How can you not? They're beating any and every team coming their way. You HAVE to take them serious at this point. Plus, wait until McCollum finally makes his debut. They're only going to get better.
Like its good we can knock of the top-tier teams but I'd also enjoy us wiping the floor with the j*zz/serns. 3 of our top 5 are out though. Not panic stations pls
If I were to bet right now who would end the season with a better record, Blazers or the Rockets, I'd still pick the Rockets. And I see the Blazers end the season anywhere between 4 and 6th seed in the west.
Is LaMarcus Aldridge not a star? Me thinks he is… Also, you're selling Lillard too short. In his 2nd year, and with so much potential for growth, he's a monster. So, no, they're not Denver from last year.
Aldridge is better than anything that Denver team had, he is a star and playing like the best pf in the game. Their lack of depth will doom them in the long run. They are playing hungry though, unlike the Rockets and may cost us homecourt in the first round.
Thats where your wrong my friend...the lack of depth was last year..They have a bench now...which is all they needed. They played their starters insane amounts of minutes last year.
LMA? the best PF in the NBA anyway they need to make one more trade to increase depth. trade some picks for some bench players.
I could be but I don't remember anyone coming off their bench when we played them, which is their only game I've watched.
Yeah, I agree. I know it's a tough pill to swallow for many Rockets fans, including myself, but the Portland Trail Blazers are not going away this year, and look to be contenders. Plus, as you state, they have a much better bench this year, most notably the addition of Mo Williams. He has been a huge spark for them. Also, add in that 1st round pick CJ McCollum hasn't even played yet due to injury, but is due back soon, and this team is only going to get better. They're for real.
Mo Williams, Thomas Robinson, Dorell Wright - all key additions for them that are contributing off the bench. And, as I've already stated a couple of times, McCollum's waiting in the wings once he returns from injury.
The Nuggets were a gimmicky fast-break transition team. LMA is the sort of player you need in the playoffs, someone with legit mid-range game to put in work when elite defenses are locking down the paint and perimeter. The Rockets need someone like that.
Their starters are playing only slightly less this season. The big difference is their defense and Wes Matthews playing out his mind.
