Is it time to start talking about trading someone other than McGrady?

Although all the trade talk is who will we get for McGrady, i wanted to see what your perspective was on our other players, and who you think we could get with our "active" players via a trade.

    Your thoughts?

Only Cook, Dorsey, and Taylor. I haven't grown attached to Andersen yet, either, but he seems like a decent player. Everyone else would be painful to see depart. That being said, it all depends on the deal.

Who could you possibly want to trade?

Oh God I just can't stand looking at Cook sitting there wasting a roster spot. Cook is a poor man's version of Antione Walker. What kind of PF that is soft, can't rebound, don't really know how to box out, is fat, thinks he's a guard, and just shoots three pointers all day but isn't all that great at it.

I would not be upset if Ariza was traded in the McGray people as an asset for whomever acquires Tmac.

Keep Ariza, trade Battier. He's getting old and less mobile. We have Ariza to fill his shoes, and with both of them on the court, our offense is struggling.

Depends on what we get back in the a trade. Do we get back Iggy? That would be fine with me because Iggy is an upgrade.

That makes too much sense. Adelman won't let it happen.

I doubt you could get any team to bite on both Ariza and T-mac. Ariza didn't get much interest in the off-season IIRC. And their positions are somewhat redundant.

You'd have to package Brooks or one of the forwards. If anyone, the player that would make the most sense would be Scola.

No way, Battier is much smarter and plays his role so much better......I used to think that way, but after watching Trevor and his lack of skills and inability to understand what he can and can't do....

No thanks...he is just not as advertised.

What? Tons of teams were chasing Trevor, remember Lebron calling him?

I think teams that need a 4th or 5th option would want him...but I think he will ultimately fail in Houston unless we get a superstar wing, he can't do anything but spot up and shoot and slash to the hole.

Anything else and he is uber fail....

Nah. The Rockets might be better off sticking to what seems to be their plan for this season, which is to use this season to evaluate their players and then make a run for the ultimate prize starting in the next season or so.

Other than the usual suspects Cook and Dorsey the Rockets' brain thrust seems to have the right players for this year's audition.

If push comes to shove my first choice of the player to trade would be Ariza. He seems to be playing out of his element and if this does not change for the better I think RA and DM should address this problem sooner than later.

    doesn't matter DaDa.

Fact is that Trevor's ceiling is higher than Battier's already and as an eventual replacement for Battier money and age wise it's too good an investment.

your outright failure to give this player a full season is just not fair.

New team, new system, new teammates, tons more responsibilities.

call me next year when this team is at full strength with T-mac's replacement.

Problem is teams wanted him as a role player, not as a star or main guy. I doubt teams will want to take him on if they are also going to take T-mac. Do you think Ariza will ever agree to play Robin to T-mac's Batman?
