Is it the time to remove Yao and get a real center for this team?

Even though I do not get to see the games, I can see from the stat line and from the posts on this board that Yao is a mediocre center after all. Rockets seemed not to be that lucky after all. Is it the time to trade this big soft center for aome real deal while his potential still seems to be great?

What real centers do you think are out there?

Yao won't be the next Hakeem or Shaq, but he will be a pretty damn good player.

Would you rather have Nesterovich or Ilgaskuas or Mutombo or Ostertag or Theo Ratliff?

So, whom do you propose the Rockets get?

Shaq? wrong side of 30, ******, injury prone...pass...

Duncan? Yeah, I think San Antonio will trade a two time MVP and the best player in the game for Yao just because he's 7'6"

Ilgauskas? Almost identical numbers as Yao, plus he's had injury problems in the past and is five years older than Yao

Give me a call when you find any more centers that are slightly better than mediocre...

What forum have you been reading? Yao puts up 17 and 9 and 2. He also changes a large number of shots. I think you live in 'dreamland', please go away.

There you go!! Good trade. Houston got a hell lot of talents back. Worriors would get their man for their Asian communities all over the Bay area.

Brad Miller and Vlade Divac are a hell of center Power forward combo. They will do much better than Yao plus garbages. Would a trade work without losing the core players on the Rox?

We don't need to trade Yao --- we need a bruiser power forward/center.

Play to Yao's strengths -- he is putting up good numbers.

    According to ESPN:

Among centers he is the 3rd leading scorer behind only Duncan and Nowitzki (and are they really centers)

He is the 8th leading rebounder

    4th in field goal percentage

and he changes a large number of shots......

Weatherspoon and Boki aren't even playing now. That's a hard deal to swallow to eat Weatherspoon and Boki's contract. I don't know, but it's worth a try. I was thinking the Dunleavy plus 2 1st rounders for Yao because it allows Golden State to retain most of their players.

as much as i love yao, his play of late has really been very mediocre and frustrating. i really hope he wakes up and plays more aggressive.

With this trade we have Steve, Mobley, Jrich in the backcourt. All you talking about how you hated the streetball of the past, watch out...

this trade would actually be good for both teams if GS thinks Yao can fulfill his potential. Les would never make it though because as a smart business man, he has to know that absolutely no one in Houston would pay money to watch that group of players play.
