So I googled sexy women's sports and this came up...

I lol'd at the idea that someone would take the time and effort to edit/slo-mo women's long jump just to catch a glimpse of their buttox.

    NSFW bony asses

so those were highlight clips. you gotta sit through 2 hours of up n down a field and players standing around for 5 minutes of excitement.. and what's with tie games??.. i dunno. just not a soccer fan i guess. hockey and rugby are the only sports i know just as little about as soccer but find very fun to watch.
    even nba/nfl games can drag.
women sports im interested in: p*rn, tennis, nude dancing, and p*rn.

Soccer is very poetic while maintaining a high level of strategy. It's also continuous so it requires some patience, it's not constant stop-and-start like baseball, basketball and football where the majority of play is micromanaged.

It's horrific to watch how mechanical and un-inventive American soccer is, that's why it will never catch on here - because of the culture (or lack thereof). Not to mention the playing field will always be watered down with superior athletes having a variety of more prominent sports to choose from. If a country as robotic as Germany can be good at it then America could to... if they put in the resources.

Soccer is god-awful. So are sports involving women (except volleyball) so combining the two is a recipe for disaster.

I could rant on how bad soccer sucks for hours but the fact that it is dominated by bird-chested men who appear to have never seen a weight room in their lives and who prefer to play a sport with their feet says enough.

I suggest picking up the latest issue of Vanity Fair to get your fix.

Wow. Saying soccer players aren't in shape proves your ignorance. You've obviously never played the sport, it is as physically grueling as anything.

In my younger days I also was disinterested in soccer but that is because I was subjected to MLS soccer which is horrible.

When I watched World Cup and European Soccer (i.e. Champion's League) it was like switching from a Division 3 College Football game to the NFL.

The athletes are freaks, the superstars are phenomenal, and the fans are rabid much more than anything in America.

I'm actually fairly excited for the World Cup for the first time in my life.

You do realize that in an NFL game, there is only about 13 minutes of true action, the rest is huddling up, or walking back to the huddle.

13 out of 60 minutes where they actually play the game.

I'd say soccer players are on par with basketball players in that agility, endurance, and having a high motor is more important than brute strength (well strength is important in basketball where supposedly it's a non contact sport, but not to the point that it's slowing you down and affecting your mobility).

Yeah I wouldn't knock soccer players as athletes, you don't see Eddy Curry type of fat asses roaming the pro soccer fields. And I'd venture to say they get a lot of grade A poontang.

Oh I forgot this was about women's soccer. They need more big boobs in women's soccer, the jiggling effect will attract more audience.

I think part of the product itself is watching people perform at their very highest potential. There are also secondary factors like the perceptions of social progress, inclusion and regional/cultural unity that draw a lot of non-traditional sports fans. Furthermore, some sports are just kind of nice to watch women in, as they provide a catalyst for other personal activities.

Every sport has its exceptions I suppose. Tiger Woods is quite possibly roided and can bench more than 95% of the guys on this forum but that doesn't mean golfers in general have respectable strength.

Exceptions? That is the norm in soccer.

I think it is safe to say it is impossible to be straight and male and not like soccer. I just don't see how anyone could deviate from that.

yes, i do realize that. that's why i don't watch football very much if at all. soccer is just not my cup of tea. i'm sure if i went to a world cup game then i would think it was exciting, but even baseball seems more exciting when you're actually at a game.

i've only attempted watching soccer on TV. many times. that's all they show in tokyo. soccer. i just can't get into it. world cup is okay because it's the world cup but i just don't get into game like i do with basketball.

i'm just not patient enough to sit down and learn the game so that i can appreciate it. although, i do see some parallels to basketball. putting a ball into a netted goal, strikers and some nice assist plays, very skilled footwork etc. but when the majority of the game is a bird's eye view of players running (seemingly slow) down a huge field... it just bores me.

the sport takes endurance. i've tried to play soccer with friends before. but to me, it's like comparing cross-country running to track.

Honestly I don't see how people can bash soccer and then go on to glorify sports like baseball or football with the sole reasoning that soccer is boring. I think it's because, like others have said, the crappy quality of the MLS and the lack of marketing of the sport in the US.
