Is it Possible to Straighten your Teeth Without Braces?

I had braces for a few years, and they aren't as bad as people say. For the first three or four days they are uncomfortable, but some pain relief tablets will get rid of it. Hopefully your Orthodontist will give you some, or recommend some.
Besides that, they really aren't that painful. Dentistry has come a long way in the last twenty years or so.

But to answer your question, I've heard that you can get 'removable' braces, kind of like a plate (or a retainer for the Americans ). It straightens your teeth in about the same time as you would need braces, you just remove it when you eat or drink. But it is more expensive, and in the experimental stage, so I would think it would be more expensive. I'll try and find a link somewhere.

The closest thing to not getting braces but getting braces is invisalign or something along those lines. Its like a mouthpiece but it's clear and you can take it out and have a smile like dis--------->

I feel like a loser, in Junior high, everyone had braces. I didn't. Well turns out my teeth never needed braces even though I chew of plastic stuff.

I had them for a few years....they weren't that bad, like getsmartnow said, they only hurt for a day or 2 after you get them tightened....The worst part of the whole situation was wearing headgear though
