I am kind of an Enron-ophile, and I would really like to take an up close look around the two Enron buildings at 1400 Smith St. I know they have been sold & re-leased to other tenants, but I was wondering if you can just go in and have a look around, or are there tours available?

    Thanks in advance!

It's an office building downtown. What is there to see? It's not a museum.

Anyway, I'm sure you can walk around the lobby all you want, but you'll need a pass to get into the offices--or someone kind enough to open the door for you from the other side.

Empty? I do believe ChevronTexaco is one of the companies that works out of the office now... my dad mentioned something about working on Ken Lay's old floor one time...

well, it's not like he's gonna find anything resembling Enron of 2001 inside the building.

Of course alot of things are going to be drastically different now, but a good deal of the buildings have to be quite similar to the way it was then. I'd just like to get a little idea of what they were like.

You are correct. Chevron (no longer ChevronTexaco) owns and occupies the newest Enron building, although I don't believe Enron were ever tenants. I think it was still being built when they collapsed.
