have things been running smoother since Cat has been out?

I am sorry if this has been posted before, but spreading the ball between three who "deserve" the ball is easier said than done. Maybe Rudy should look into moving him back to the 6th man. I think that would be a better role for him and the team.

Things haven't looked so bad, but our offensive output is till... well... not good. Not bad, but not good. With Cat in, combined with our newfound defense (and Cat is very underrated in defense) we got more offense and nice defense. We'd be unstoppable!! Hell yeah, it's time for the rockets era to rise, read it and weep Lakers!

The ball has been getting more passed around, but that is because it is underdevelopment to give the ball to Yao in the post. and it is getting better (the offense) Cat, when he comes back, has to know that the rocks cant afford to allow him to take the 15 shots per game he had before he got injured this season. He will have to work on his game the way the rest of the rockets have been, with the post up.
BUT I believe the rockets have missed his shooting touch this season. The rocks are passing the ball sooooo well to the open man, but the problem has been that players couldnt hit the WIDE OPEN shot. forexample Hawkins, but with MObes back, I think the shooting touch will be back for all. MObes has a nice touch.

I think that he will play team ball when he returns. Im sure that he learned a lot while sitting out. His shooting will help us out tremendously. That will give us 2 shooters, Rice and Mobes.

It is you. The team is a work in progress. And that new kid keeps promising the progress. And delivering.

The offense hasn't been doing so well with Cuttino out...I don't remember that last time we've broke 100 point barrier. If we would have had Cat on the last road trip I believe we would have come back with a better record. A key is that we have finally started throwing the ball inside and triggering the offense from the low post

the offense has clearly been worse since cat has been out. scoring is down....cat is a team player even though people don't seem to agree at times. the rockets will be a much better team with him than with hawk and moochie playing big minutes. people are partial to hawk because not a lot is expected out of him and when he does something good it is given too much attention. basketball is an offense biased game NOT defense biased. cat helps us much more than hawk because he gives us more scoring.

I don't think it is a function of Cat being out as much as it is the adjustment of the offense to inside out. Cat will only make this team better.

I'm pretty sure the points scored per game by the Rockets has gone down since Cuttino's been out. If you're talking about last game...yes, it went smoother. If you're talking about all the games Cat has been out...no, it hasn't gone smoother.

My opinion? You're crazy. Offensively, we can only get better with Mobley in there. He can take his man off the dribble and he can shoot from the outside (when healthy). Mobley will spread the opponent's defense better, 'cause his man won't be able to cheat off him (like the defender would cheat off of, say, Hawkins).

Shooters definitely prosper when the team has a big man drawing double teams. Glen Rice is in heaven with a guy like Yao at center. He can just wait for him man to give some strong side help, and he's spotted up for a jumper.

Consider Mobley can do this, and can also slash to the basket. Our offense will be much better when a healthy Mobley comes back.

Mobley also knows how to feed the post. Remember in his rookie season, he spent the whole at point guard feeding Dream and Chuckie.

Don't underestimate him. Even though he jacks up some crazy shots, he manages a healthy shooting percentage which is a testament to his offensive skills.

The only thing that bothers me about him is that he takes too much time to make his move. He just dribbles in place almost to put hypnotize his opponent.

Nope, I noticed the same thing, and I don't think it's a coincidence. Mobley and KT are the most selfish players on the team, so that's why the offense has clicked and Yao has had more touches while Mobley has been out.
