Is it just me or has Live improved this year?

just played the demo and this game is smoother than I ever remember. I stopped playing Live in 2001, but you can actually play defense this year, and its much more challenging to score. The commentary and presentation is also top notch.

Ya its supposed to be significantly better. Some 2K guys were pulled in on it. But I think the early consensus is that its still behind 2K. For now.

I played the demo and I thought it was absolutely atrocious. The gameplay was so robotic, especially the offense, just wasn't smooth at all.

The last NBA game I got was 2k8 and this was not even close to that.

Yeah it's improved.... but, I hate that they took out the dunk/layup button which was separate from the shooting button. Still far away from 2K.

The fast breaks in this game need work. Crossovers are too robotic.

In terms of gameplay, everything about 2K is better than Live except shooting a jumper. 2K has always felt a little stiff in that category.

You get used to it though, especially when you use the shot stick. The shot stick makes it so smooth...

I have to disagree. The animation looks stiff to me as well, and that's part of it.

Are you talking about 2k10? Or just 2k in general?

Haven't played 2K10 yet, obviously. I'm speaking of 2K in general and what I've played of the Draft Combine. In comparison, the Live10 demo feels and looks really smooth when shooting.

This is the sole reason I never bought the 2k series...

    It feels sooo weird shooting

Oh, yeah, I don't know, I've always felt that 2K has done a good job with the shooting.. maybe that's just me.. I play 2K a lot... like a religion, so maybe I'm just used to it.

I really think that if 2k released 2K6 this year they would still clobber Live. Live needs to scrap everything, It is truly basketbawful...

The shooting in Live 10 is splendid. Live 09 was absolutely awful.
