Here we are a few months into the 55 mph speed limit (which was supposed to clean the air) and the last few days it has been more hazy than I can recall. I'm not saying that the speed limit isn't working (ahem!), but it sure is interesting to note.
It has been hazy. They talked about it on the news. It blew in from somewhere out of state, I cant remember where but hopefully this rain will blow it out of town.
I hope so...my allergies have been hell since this crap blew in. I've been sounding like Selma Diamond. LOL
Refman -- there was an article about this in the Chronicle the other day...they said to expect smog moving our way from the Midwest...
It has been very hazy in Austin as well. Everyone is correct, the newspaper here has said it has been moving in from out of state. Damn outsiders messing up or great state!
The haze: Isn't it ozone/pollution? I heard on Friday that it's not good to exercise in it, you can aggrivate respiratory problems, etc... I ran on saturday and woke up sunday with a terrible sore throat that went away eventually... I'm contributing that to the "haze"
THAT'S IT!!! that explains why i had a sore throat yesterday. I NEVER get sick (seriously, and that's no jinx... I say it all the time. The last time I even had a cold was over 6 years ago)... but yesterday after my morning run, I had a sore throat that bothered me all day while I watched NFL action. Thanks for clearing up that mystery rH!
Yeah I know...these days I can't decide whether its the haze or the pack and a half per diem that's making me expel a lung every morning.
yeah...let's get some giant-sized oscillating fans and direct them right towards chicago with a plane carrying a banner reading "return to sender!"
