wow i didn't know that's how you spelled that word. it is a woman's world...they run everything by proxy. i have come to that conclusion since they always get their way and all hell breaks loose if they don't.
I think that if you check your handy Yiddish dictionary you’ll find it there. Verklempt - Extremely emotional. On the verge of tears. (See "Farklempt")
This thread is making me very schpilkus! Pardon my spelling...it's probably wrong. This is definitely a woman's world. Women have all of the power, and control everything. We men are just tools for women.
given that we have an equal distribution of women and men it would seem that the world belongs to both of us. Otherwise one sex would be diminishing and the other increasing. One cannot live without the other as of now. But if that ever changes, and it could very well change, you could see the powers shift towards one sex or the other. But you never know which way. For all we know the handicapped could one day have the genetic advantage when fighting a disease that kills the rest of us.
My wife would say it's a man's world. She's a state executive here in Texas, which means she is in a definite minority. But she would only use that phrase regarding business and how a woman is treated... how much harder she has to fight to move up. In any other context she'd say, "F*** you". (in a general way, of course!)
An executive high up in a state agency or commission that works for the Legislature. In this instance. You know, one of those people who runs the state in the background when the politicians bask in publicity. There are many of them.
Women run everything.......according to most advertisers, women do most of the purchasing in the home and ergo, since the power of the purse (insert your joke here) is the ultimate power, it is a woman's world, unfortunately. The best quote I can use to describe women is from the classic Jack Nicholson flick "As Good As It Gets"
I disagree with your take on the power of women, Bama, but I love the quote. What a great flick! Receptionist: How do you write women so well? Melvin Udall: Easy. I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability Gotta love it!
Most of the purchasing hardly equates to "Power'. It is most likely the man that fills that purse to begin with. Women do the errands since they have to do something to contribute. If all you guys really think it's a woman's world, I guess you were nuetered a while back........ I would wager that the majority of women can hardly take care of themselves, and support themselves, without having some sort of legal handout, or child support payments. *If anything needs to be built, don't call on the women. * If a car needs fixed, don't call on women. * you get the idea....... At least with such a plentiful amount of women around, most men won't have to worry about taking on a gay job, such as secretary for this and that. Flame away. I know I came across as crude, just funnin' around. But I believe it is a Man's world. Women are the helpers of man. Man together with woman is OUR world. Not MAN and MAN, or WOMAN and WOMAN...........It's MAN and WOMAN.......ok, this deserves a new topic...
