News reports, especially on Fox News, show clips of Hillary wanting a vote on the floor to "allow the voices of 18M voters to be heard." Uh, oh.

I saw this but i dont believe it will happen... if she tries this stunt she will have lost any once of respectability that she has left. I think she is smarter than that. It would become clear to everyone including her supporters that its about her and not the nation.

Snicker if you like, but Fox News is the #1 rated broadcast news outlet. They have yet to let me down like the New York Times with completely false stories. Besides, they were interviewing Democratic Party players -- not Republicans.

Unbelievable. She's worked her ass of campaigning for Obama for two months, and has done so with complete class and grace. I wish she had gotten the nomination, but I thought one slight benefit was that the illogical paranoia and far out conspiracy talk would stop. Guess not.

As for citing ratings, that's a little silly. Take a look at the highest selling CDs -- does that correlate with the best music? Take a look at the movies with the biggest box office receipts -- does that correlate with the best movies? Not so much.

Cat, she's fueling this. All she has to say is, "come on...that's ridiculous."

Underlying it all is a feeling on Clinton's part that Obama has never shown proper regard for a campaign she believes was as historic an achievement as his. True, Obama has asked Clinton to give a prime-time speech on the second night of the convention later this month. But as the odds that she will be Obama's running mate have faded, there are signs that Clinton's backers could demand one last show of respect before Obama claims the nomination in Denver. Clinton has been giving tacit encouragement to suggestions that her name be placed in nomination at the convention, a symbolic move that would be a reminder of the bruising primary battle. "No decisions have been made," Clinton said when asked in California — to whoops and applause — about that possibility. Still, it was hard to miss what Clinton would like to see in the pointed way she added, "Delegates can decide to do this on their own. They don't need permission." Some of her allies are not so enthusiastic about that kind of gesture. Says Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz: "We really need to focus at the convention on unifying the party behind Senator Obama."

I will rest easy when there is a figurative stake through her political heart. ;)

You're right, they're just mostly false, not completely false. Their completely false information they just pass on to the viewers as if a 'neutral party'.

    TV is crap.

For the week of July 28th, the top rated Broadcast TV shows were:
    America’s Got Talent
    Two and a Half Men
    CSI: Miami
    Criminal Minds
    NCIS
So You Think You Can Dance - weds
    60 Minutes
    CSI
So You Think You Can Dance – Thursday
    CSI: NY
    Flashpoint
    Primetime: Last Lecture 2 (S)
    Wipeout

TV is crap. Grats to having highest rated broadcast news outlet
(I'm too dumb to find the week's broadcast news rankings, but my point still stands that tv is... crap.)

Yes, there will be wingnuts for Hillary, just like there will be wingnuts for Ron Paul.

Bleh - it's things like this that make you wonder what the hell goes on through her head sometimes. There was no need whatsoever to do this, knowing it will encourage people to do exactly that.

She's just trying to create havoc at the convention. She has no shot at the nomination, but she can undermine Obama's campaign. If he loses, that sets her up for another run in 2012.

Oh brother! How dysfunctional can you get? The Dems are going to blow this election as long as McCain doesn't crumble. Is Hillary completely blind to the fact if she ends up with the nomination some weird way that the Dem party will implode? There is no good that could come out of this (for her). Perhaps it's a pressure tactic to force Obama to give her and Bill more respect and raise more money to pay off her campaign debt.

count_dough-ku, if she roils the convention and Obama loses, Hillary will get the frozen shoulder in the Senate and elsewhere within the party. IMO, she knows 2012 is a no go and that this is her last possible shot, hence the utter desperation.

Everyone is looking at this as some machievellian tactic by Clinton to steal the nomination or get more power. Have any of you considered that this maybe is an honest move on the part of Clinton supporters who still have some hard feelings from the primaries? That maybe Clinton isn't engineering this but going along with supporters who will help her retire her campaign debt and who she feels obligated to?

I was just watching that some commentary talking about this. They were pointing out the supporters might be more demanding and feel they are owed more because they were lead to believe that Hillary had more of a chance than she really did.

They were saying that basically after May Hillary only had a 1 in 5 - 1 in 10 chance of actually winning the nomination. But for a long time the media and Hillary's camp convinced them that it was basically a toss up and she actually had an even chance of winning even when it was pretty evident that she was a real long shot.

So her die hard supporters were sold a bill of goods by the media and Hillary's campaign themselves. They aren't owed any kind super special treatment at the convention and may be being sold a bill of goods again convincing them that they are entitled to something they really arent'.

Fox News more accurate than the NYT? That's hilarious. The times is a moderate media source, it's hardly liberal. If you want liberal media, watch Keith Olberman.

My gosh, someone actually saying Fox is more true than some other news outlet. Wow.

Are you saying Fox News is more reliable than the NY Times?

    Good luck, with that one.

I should have said February 19th instead of May 9th. After Feb 19th. She didn't have a very good chance of winning, but her supporters were lead to believe it was still basically a toss up, and that it was more or less even.

I would argue that it's only a portion of her supporters that are demanding all the special treatment. But much of the media coverage from Feb 19th did treat the race as if it was up for grabs.

This is one of the dumbest things anyone has ever posted to this forum. It is definitely the dumbest thing thumbs has ever posted here.
