I know its only preseason but he is playing horrible. You just don't know who you'll get in the lottery... Nugget would have been pissed if they traded melo for only favors as the main asset.
In the 2 preseason games in China I didn't even realize he was on the court. I didn't know he was playing, let alone playing badly.
Didn't it come down to him and Cousins for their decision? They may regret the outcome. Way too early to tell though off of some preseason games.
very premature considering he's not a fundamentally sound talent...he's not S curry...he's more like Amar'e...it's going to take time for him to put moves together that will go with his athleticism..and even amar'e got there faster than expected...
His the youngest player in the NBA, he still has plenty of time to grow into his game. The reason he was drafted so high was because of the tool's he possesses, the tools to be great, not because he was NBA ready.
Got to give him some time, but I agree about the China games. While watching this morning I caught myself thinking "wait...the Nets should have a top young player, right? Who the hell is...OH YEAH, they have Favors. Wait...has he even played?". Zero impact so far. So far.
You should have seen Andrew Bynum when he first came into the league. He was the single worst player I have ever seen on an NBA floor. Just wait for Favors...
Well if it's a time issue, then I hope the Nets are goin to be patient. They're certainly not going to make the playoffs anytime soon with favors being in such a "raw" state.
I remember someone (Jonatha Feigan?) reporting that when the Rockets tried to trade up, he was their #1 target. Wonder if they are still interested in him. Rockets have absolutely no need to play him, which might be the perfect situation for his career now.
yea -his performances to date have left a lot to be desired.....but like so many have said, its still early days for him.....can't see denver still wanting to have him as the main piece in a melo trade now that he looks to be a risk.
