I do not think NO signed this guy back and he is nor on the NBA player roster either. The link below from January says that he has been working out. I know he was on drugs, but why not give him a chance I remember this guy was a bug that just bothered everyone on the boards.

Does anyone know any more news about him?

The last I heard, he was still working to get the NBA to let him back in, and the Hornets were interested in signing him if he comes back.

I'd rather have Cadilac Anderson than this fruitcake.

Explain to me why we need him?

    Yao/Chuck/Deke
    Scola/Landry/Chuck

We need another SG/SF moreso than another big man.

I think things went south for him after the Dunk contest 2 years ago.

I think Stern has to reinstate him first. With guys like Birdman I think the Rockets will now always be scared of another EG on their hands.

Do we?? We didn't trade away any of our PFs. Look at our PF/C depth chart I just posted. We're fine on big men - SF/SG is what we need! (Barry!!)

The guy couldn't perform in the dunk contest. Do you honestly believe he can perform for a championship team?

Besides, what can he do except for jumping? He can't shoot and he's not bright.

LAL has three 7 footers that can start (Odom-Bynum-Gasol) with size and mobility. So as the Spurs and Phoenix with 2 players. Our so called big men are Yao, Muumbo, Hayes, Scola, and Landry have either mobility or size problem with comparison to the elite teams in the West.

That's blasphemy. How could you compare a scrub to a hall of famer?

Andersen is just a big stiff.

So what do you propose? Whose minutes are you going to take away? Scola? Landry? Yao? Deke never plays, and Hayes only plays when there's foul trouble or we need defense. Do you really want to waste a roster spot adding someone whose going to take away minutes from the two rookies? Do you not agree that we need help in the backup SG/SF position? That's a much greater need than any more size for us right now.

He hasnt been reinstated yet as mentioned.

On the Rockets he would be a backup center in place of Mutombo or a replacement to Chuck Hayes. Which is basically his role anyways. He's only started 8 games in his career.

I'd sign him in the offseason for backup center next year, but not this year. Rockets need more size in the backcourt, like, Bonzi...or someone in the Gerald Green mold but who can actually play

    I sure wish you're joking.

Those guys are defensive specialist. Even though Deke is old he can still provide some paint presence on the D. Hayes plays really smart.

Also none of these guys have any drug problems. Chris "I suck at dunking" Anderson will kill our chemistry without adding any new talent.

Let him go to to NO and see how productive he is at the bench. Then you can make your judgment.
