Not sure how people involved in fatal car accidents are indicted, any one care to guess what's going to happen with this?

Why the hell would she go to jail. She didn't do anything that was against the law. Was she drunk or high? Accidents happen unfortunately. She might get sued but I highly doubt she will go to jail.

    Just read this part:

The singer-actress, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, was alone in her vehicle and no alcohol or drugs were involved, Tang said.

So I guess that eliminates any speculation of her not being sober.

Involuntary manslaughter charges. I don't know what the penalties for that are like.

Involuntary manslaughter, I think is too severe for something like this, whether it's Brandy or not. A high school acquatence of my brother's was riding in a car with his drunk girlfriend, who lost control, killing him. She got charged with involuntary manslaughter, and that was in Texas. This case does not deserve that.

Most I could see is maybe something like 30 to 60 days in jail for a lesser charge.

Laura Bush did exactly the same thing when she was in high school.

No way Brandy goes to jail for this.

Involuntary manslaughter requires negligence, recklessness or intoxication. If she wasn't drinking, excessively speeding or driving recklessly, nothing is going to happen to her.

How the heck can you rear-end someone going 65 mph? Some ppl just shouldn't be able to drive. I hope they take away her license.

I would call rear ending someone at 65 mph negligent.

More evidence that women shouldn't be allowed to drive.

give me a break. like any one of us couldn't be in an accident on the highway resulting in serious injuries.

she shouldn't go to jail. but she'll be sued and probably have to pay a lot.

maybe i'm missing something, but it's not like she was going 65 and hit someone going zero. all they would have to do is slow down suddenly and drop down to 50 or something and you don't notice and hit them going 65 and then they hit someone in front of them, swerve b/c of that and hit an oncoming car, which sounds like it was the fatal part of the accident, not brandy hitting her.

it sucks but if it happened something like that, then i would say not much should happen to her. if it was really just an accident, then it was just an accident.

In California they have vehicular manslaughter which is a lesser offense.
