The guys is a magician in terms of getting more production out of players than any other coach. Isaiah Thomas looked like an MVP candidate, Evan Turner got himself $70 milion, rookies and 2nd year guys blossom. Terry Rozier looks like Kyrie Irving.

Danny Ainge is the one that drafted Jayson Tatum, acquired in trade Kyrie Irving from picks from Nets from trading old players Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce that was a heist, theft, backstabbing Pierce, Isaiah Thomas. Stealing the Nets Top Picks for Years. Year by Year I was thinking Boston still have draft pick this is unfair. Former Nets GM Billy King got fired, worst GM move of all time.

Amazing how the Celtics keep winning even after all the injuries. That is a great coaching job by Steven’s.

He is good coach, however every team, roster, organization is a different fit and might require a different type of coach.

Danny Ainge had a lot of 1st round picks to work with so their might be a lot of talent on that roster. However all the guys who have left seem to not be as good so maybe it is Stevens. Hayward and Kyrie should be worried they might get shipped out. You know Ainge has 0 loyalty.

No he's not light years ahead of everyone else.

But if you want to put him at #1, then nobody can argue with that.

The one thing we haven't really see him do yet is coach a team with SUPERSTARS. Think what you want about Kyrie - when healthy - he's definitely close, but I wouldn't say superstar. Consistent all-star, which is very good.

I guess my point is ... he coaches up seemingly "lesser" players, clearly. Can he coach up superstars as well such that they win rings?

Albeit with seemingly inferior talent, but so far, the Celtics made the ECF once... after PROBABLY being on pace to lose in the first round but for a Rajon Rondo injury.

Now they've beaten Milwaukee and may beat a Sixers team that was universally thought to not be playoff ready before the year started....

Again, I think he is a GREAT GREAT GREAT coach. And you want him #1, great. But is he better than Quinn Snyder, just because Quinn lost to the Warriors in the 2nd round last year and will (probably!!) lose in the second round to the Rockets this year????

I'm in the minority but Ainge should ship out Kyrie. Is Rozier's performance a bit inconsistent and based on a small sample size? Yes, but if Kyrie can net you a Kawhi Leonard or more assets, why wouldn't you do it? You load your team with more wings that can play defense and shoot the 3 ball you will for sure stifle Golden State.

Might be crazy but I'd rather keep the young kids and move Kyrie (Hayward is probably untradeable right now) instead.

    Joe Lacob is offended.

And no, Brad Stevens does not smoke mirrors.

    Does Brad Stevens smoke mirrors...

Great coach at a great organization. Not sure he could do the same at Memphis, Charlotte, NYK, SAC, etc... but it wouldn't be his fault.

I can’t believe I’m paraphrasing what Charles Barkley said, but they will be the new Spurs

He is probably the most valuable coach in the league because of his age and style of coaching. He tends to be consistent and not alienate his players.

Is he better than Pop? No he isn’t but he is still very good. Daryl Morey has commented before that the “ideal” is to find a coach like Stevens that has a vision/system and will grow with the front office.

Stevens has done a hell of a job but Tatum and Brown are really talented players and the Celtics have very bright and hard working role players.

Don't think he is ahead of Jasikevicius but until he coaches in NBA it can't be proven otherwise.

Elie owes him an ass-whooping, but Ainge deserves props along with Stevens.
