After watching last nights game I must say we look like a completely different team, for the better. However, I was not impressed with Wilks or Norris. Niether played very good defense and both seem a bit lost. I really think we need a veteran backup point guard!!!

We're stuck with Norris. He stinks, but his contract makes him The Unmovable Object. He said he's rededicated himself to improving (which is admirable), but the results have been mixed so far.

It's not crucial for the Rox to have a solid backup point guard, but if Francis or Mobley goes down, we're in trouble.

I had thought about getting Mark Jackson but I feel we need a better PG than him. Unfortunately Moochie continues to overdribble all the time and that's why he can't pass the ball.
We are stuck with him. Francis is showing some improvement which is encouraging.

Not worried. JVG will take care of those guys; either working with them, or by trade.

What do you think?!? They aren't being serious! Discipline! :D

Anyways...if you watched the last 3 games before last night...Moochie was playing very well...shooting, driving, passing, playing defense.

Wilks started off very well but leveled off.

Francis will be playing the most...we just need them to play solid defense and run the team..

I'm really not worried about our point guard position..or any of our positions...except for maybe power forward. Right now...Cato is doing a fine job...FOR NOW that is.

There's nothing really that we can do about it. We cannot beat the top 6 teams in the West. I don't think the backup point guard is that important. BUT IF MOOCHIE STARTS PLAYING HORRIBLY LIKE HE DID IN THE 1st preseason game and screws up our offense and defense...then I will be worried.

    As long as we win!

All I have seen was the Spur game - loved it.

It seemed to me that Jackson was bringing the ball upcourt a lot in the first half. Is he being preped for back up point duty? Mobley can certainly slide over for spot duty.

Though I am expecting a good year from Mooch.

You know, playing Mobley as a back-up PG as well as SG might not be a bad idea.

I know normally that it's not a good idea to have a gunner at the point, but I think Mobley's dedicated to the team enough to just distribute, if it was his primary responsibility.

It'd be better than Moochie, hands down.
