We now have a roster that doesn't have a single overpaid player from top to bottom. How many other teams can say that?

Ariza and Anderson you might could argue are overpaid, but not by much. Jeffries is overpaid, but expiring.

It's taken awhile to get to this point, and I would hate to see us swallow a poison pill contract just to get a nice player, if it means limiting the freedom we now have.

Im not sure why people consider Ariza overpaid. He shoots poorly. that's definitely an issues, but he puts up solid numbers overall. He's also playing a lot of minutes and usually is guarding a tough player, so i can't see why he'd be overpaid. Guys like that who shoot a solid % are probably going to make over 10 mill, so at 5-6 he's definitely fair value, almost a bargain.

Cook and jeffries are severely overpaid. Battier is borderline overpaid. If his minutes dip under 30 next season, then he will be.

Trevor Ariza isn't overpaid, he was just overplaying at the beginning of the season. Notice that once we got another guy on the floor that could shift Ariza to his more natural 4th/5th scoring option (will be 5th with Yao), his numbers were:

    13.14 PPG on 43.98% FG%
    4.43 APG
    5.86 RPG

For a guy making MLE, I'll take those numbers. He was at his worst at the beginning of the season and at his best at the end. His growth is glaringly obvious.

umm we have one of the highest payrolls in the league next season and we didnt even make the playoffs. I say we have some people that are being overpaid.

That could be because our highest paid player wasn't playing either.

That's a fair statement, but who would you say is overpaid?

Kevin Martin is paid very well for a player that plays only on one side of the court; and for a long time, as well.

I can't believe people are saying Martin is overpaid. He is one of the most efficient and best scorers in the league. He might not have the greatest defense but who cares when he is dropping 30+ with ease. People still don't realize what we have with Martin, they are in for a big surprise next season.

Battier is overpaid for what he is contributing. Anderson isn't worth much to me. Ariza isn't cheap, but I think his value will become more obvious when our team gets used to having him as a 3rd/4th option. He should never have been expected to lead a team's offense.

Hopefully he can play some defense, and play more than 40 games...

Compared to what we've come to see/expect from Morey I would say Ariza, Battier, Anderson and of course Jeffries are all over paid. Compared to the rest of the league I would say only Jeffries is overpaid.

    Yao Ming $16,378,325 $17,686,100 = $34,064,425
    Kevin Martin $9,680,170 $10,600,005 $11,519,840 $12,439,675 = $44,239,690
    ----

    Rashard Lewis $18,010,791 $19,573,711 $21,136,631 $22,699,551 = $81,420,684
    Vince Carter $16,123,250 $17,522,375 $18,300,000 = $51,945,625

    -----
    Elton Brand $14,858,472 $15,959,100 $17,059,728 $18,160,355 = $66,037,655
    Andre Iguodala $12,200,000 $12,345,250 $13,531,750 $14,718,250 $15,904,750 = $68,700,000

I can keep going. But it's obvious that we are getting our two best players at a really good deal compared to other teams and their good/best players (both winning and losing teams).

JJ and yao... But a lot of rockets are underpaid so be happy, at least for another year. Scola and Kyle will get some pretty good raises.
