for years upon years the Rockets have been heavily injured, and all any Rockets fan could do was beg that one year we could start and stay healthy to see what this team was capable of. Losses to Utah? Well it was blamed on injuries during the season that hurt overall team chemistry when playoffs arrived (along with it only being Tmac/Yao and some scrubs). Loss to LA? Well of course we had no center after Game 2 (and even in that game it seemed like something was wrong with him physically), so Deke and Yao are out and we take the champs to 7 games. awesome, right? man, if only we were healthy...

so this season we get HEALTHY, lol, have a pretty stacked team... but for some reason no Yao half the time, a lack of defensive identity, and somehow this team is 0-5. I don't remember the last time we had such a poor start, and I've been watching for 20 years.

I actually agree with the non-doom-and-gloom crowd, all of our loses have come against teams with impressive records so far, 3 only had 1 loss and 2 are perfect so far, but... being IN every single game... it has positive points and it also tortures us at fans because we could EASILY be 5-0 right now. Change the last 2-3 minutes of any of those games just a PINCH and we're perfect too.

I just can't believe that after 5 years or so of waiting for a healthy team to finally show us what the potential is ... is an 0-5 start.

I know its not everything, we started 6-11 in 0-5 and went onto 51-31 while challenging Dallas in the playoffs. It was a great season with a sad ending.

I just feel SOOOooo impatient right now, and I cant believe I'm just hoping for a W. I'll be so gdm annoyed if we lose to the Twolves tonight, but its all I can think of happening. I feel like I'm a fan of the Twolves or Nets from last year.

  arghhhh! The expectation! The irony!

Lowry has been hurt and Yao can only play 24 mins. I wouldn't exactly say we were healthy at the beginning of the year.

but Yao IS healthy! He's just being used at a rate that leaves him out half of the time. We could play him as much as we want, we're just taking precautions due to his past. That doesnt mean he's not healthy now. Nor am I saying we SHOULD be playing him the whole time - I'm just saying the irony is that he's healthy, we're 99% healthy (sorry I dont count Lowry as a high-level injury, he's only missed a few games and isnt necessarily a game-changer)

Yeah he missed only a few games, because the Rockets have only played 5 games. Lowry has only played in 2 of them. When they are using an undrafted rookie PG as the backup and starting PG, it's an important injury.

OMG fine you're right you've PROVED YOUR AMAZING POINT THAT IM NOT 100% right! lol. Do you just need to be right so bad?

    geez??

I mean, we're not missing our 2 biggest superstars to season-ending injuries, we're not missing 4-5 role players as well, this isnt anything like the last few years, but yes im wrong because Lowry has some back spasms and Ming is healthy (um he's not injured, just because Rockets are being cautious and he's not to constant 100% game-shape doesnt mean he's not "healthy") and just not playing more than 24 min a game.

and yeh, I know Lowry has only been out a few games because they've only played 5 - except that he played the preseason and it also isnt known to be something season-ending.

so yeh, you guys are right. I had no valid points, there is no irony, and this is just a normal season like the last 4 years or so. No expectations were different, no one considered us a bazaillion times healthier than normal. I'm wrong, my bad.

    lol

I bring up a little post about how being a LOT healthier than normal has only led to an 0-5 start when we've been praying for health for years, and of course people have to come in and pick at the specifics.
