    IRANIAN RHAPSODY!

QUEEN have become the first rock band to be given an official seal of approval in Iran.

An album of the band’s greatest hits was released in the Islamic republic this week, where Western music is subject to strict censorship rules.

Late singer Freddie Mercury has Iranian ancestry.

A cassette of the album costs in the region of 55p, and comes with a book of translated lyrics, BBC news reports.

Trust me they have everything we have here as far as music, movies, computers you name it.

I just got back from being over there for about 6 weeks, they have every song out there. They get sattelite and know what's going on over here and download music just like we do.

Only difference there is no copyright laws in effect in Iran so basically you can copy what you what and they don't care. When you go rent DVD's they are just copied VCD's of every movie out. They get all the music that is here just as fast as we get it.

It's pretty amazing that supposidly it's all banned but they sell it. They are supposed to be illegal to have but no one cares. All that supposed stuff is just a front cause everyone has everything.

They were asking me if i heard certain songs over here and they are all the latest things. It's pretty cool cause you go into computer shops and ask for a disc and they just burn it for you for about a dollar a disc.

So everyone would be surprised to know that the middle east gets basically leverything we have here sometimes even faster cause there are no laws governing these things.

Freddie Mercury's parents are of Persian origin, so that had a lot to do with this.

It's true about the music though. They download everything that's released into the charts, because they have all the channels on TV.

This is just a matter of it being legal.

What about INTERPOL laws? Ya know, Stockholm, Sweden, 1977 and all...

I guess that doesn't apply to the middle-east?
