This is absolutely disgusting and cowardly. Iran, you are truly pathetic to use CHILDREN holding hands to protect your nuclear ambitions. What a bunch of desperate, cowardly Mullahs.

Well, assuming this is true, does it matter since they are not a nation at war? The children are probably enthusiastic about the prospect of nuclear energy. Just as any child would be.

Your position is that the children are circling the nuke sites because they are "enthusiastic about the prospect of nuclear energy"? You've got to be kidding me.

Do you support putting children in harm's way? To me that is one of the most cowardly things any human could do.

Children enjoy science, evidenced by numerous field trips here in America to power plants and nuclear plants. These children are young and nationalistic, like many youths. It is conceivable they support this program just as you might have supported SDI by Reagan in your youth. You have also set up a strawman argument. I will knock it down. No, I do not support putting children in harm's way. This is not an activity that will harm them. Iran is not a nation at war. The children, unless they are playing inside the reactors, are not under any unnecessary risk. And you are right about the cowardly aspect of it, but you do not honestly believe it yourself. If you did, you would be adamently against war.

Man, I got chewed out for climbing over the seats in the schoolbus. Imagine if I'd approached the nuclear facility and held hands with my friends...

    Any sourcing besides Fox News?

Bigtexx, who as an undergrad thought he was too valuable (he call it having a "comparative advantage") over even college grads or law school and other professional grads, to avoid our troops in wars that he claims that are vital to the defense of the United States.

Um, do you read the news? There exist countries in this world that might take military action to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

I do read the news. I know there are editorials that say Israel will take military action to take out the reactors. Yet, you chastise Iran for letting kids visit the nuclear reactor without criticizing any of these editorials for warmongering and murder. Double standard, per chance?

This thread seems to lack any content of substance.

Are you seriously saying that these children are lining up around the nuclear sites because they enjoy science? You have concocted some absolutely ludicrous stories before to defend Muslim extremism and cowardice, but this has to take the cake!

    Remind anyone of someone?

I think it was times, or newsweek where i read today, that some totally modern girl, against everything thats conservative in iran, who listens to rock, etc etc, is against ahmedinijiads policies etc etc, but is totally pissed at the thought of usa not allowing her country nukes when much more volatile places such as india, pakistan, and israel are allowed nukes...

seems pretty hypocrytical to say that one can have the benefits of nuclear capabilities, while others cant...

    no.

but i am in favor of people advancing their nuclear facilities to develop other alternate uses for them....

and also, i am against 99% of the other countries having nukes... maybe the UN, and USA needs to step up the removal of nukes from countries that already have em...

The problem is that Iran's president is a certifiable nutjob. He is on record for saying he wants to 'wipe Israel off the map'. How can anyone say that Iran has the right to explore nuclear facilities after that statement? Iran simply is not trustworthy and that is why so many countries have spoken out against their recent actions.

In the American Revolution, women and girls served as both spies and saboteurs.

It is easy to fight fair and have a genteel sense of fair play when you are the strongest toughest bad boy on the block. How many of the people who decry the horror of this Iranian atrocity turned off the TV or left the movie theater in disgust after watching the scene in Red Dawn where girl snuck a bomb into building with all the Russians in it?

I don’t like what the Iranians are doing, but I understand that I am not in a position to say definitively that I wouldn’t do the same in the same situation.

Doesn't matter whether they use 'human shields' around them or not, because from what I've read any bombing of those facilities will prove harmful to civilians since many of those facilities were purposely embedded in civilian areas. So basically, any country that proceeds with bombing them will do so with full knowledge and acceptance of the civilian casualties that should follow from it.
