Is there any doubt in anybody's mind that Bush is holding the reigns on Israel attacking Iran until around May of 2008??? Then he turns them loose, they drop a bomb on Iran's nuke facility and start a full scale war that the U.S. has to be involved in, thereby altering the election landscape. Is there any question in anybody's mind what is going to happen here?

No U.S. troop commitments in the 1948 war for independence, the '67 Seven-Day War, or the Yom Kippur War in '73, so why now? Also, why would Bush be willing to help Republicans who have now begun to oppose his war effort?

First of all: I think the Bush presidency is a catastrophic disaster.

I don't agree with you because starting that mess would not necessarily help the Republican candidate. The cynicism is so great the American public could have a huge backlash against the GOP if that happened.

That's my point. If he sees the Republicans are gonna lose, then start the war and leave the Dems in a mess.
