My ipod is acting funny, i accidentally dropped it, and now it does not start, I was wondering where I could take it to get it fixed. I know there are Apple stores, but I looked on their site and the closest ones to me are an hour to two hours away, does someone like best buy or something fix them for you? I would rather take it to a store myself than sending it through the mail...any help is appreciated.
no, if its under warranty you have to bring it to the store. I don't know where you bought it so they might have some policy, but its unlikely. Make sure when you bring it to them you don't tell them you dropped it. I had a cracked screen and then my battery started dying. When I tried to get that part fixed they refused saying that the cracked screen voids any repair at all even if it was unrelated to the screen. bastids.
I actually ordered it online...dang dont know if I wanna make a trip to Columbus or Cincy just to mess with it, might just save up, get a Nano or something. Thanks for the help anyways
If you bought it from Apple's website call their customer service and they'll probably send you a box to return it in, then ship you a refurbished one. If they don't they'll let you know what your options are.
Try holding down the center button with the menu button at the same time. It might simply need to be reset.
A good way to screw over Worst Buy buy another new ipod from them, return the messed up one. end of story.
I know, wasnt actually going to do that, but not a bad thought, i mean who doesnt wanna screw Best Buy?
more than likely they wont check, go during times when there is a huge rush, esp on the weekends, and just go right in the middle of a big line,,, theyll be happy to get you a new one and out of their sights.
