So I looked around and didn't see any threads about it already, unless I'm blind, but I just got an e-mail from Apple about the new iPod. Looks pretty spiffy, I mostly would just want it for album art and the cool-factor of a color screen... but I guess having photo capabilities is cool too.... Hmmm... p*rn slideshow in the palm of my hand... that would make my Physics lectures MUCH more interesting! I guess I'd be pissed I just bought a 4G if these new ones weren't so damn expensive ($469.00 for 40 Gig, $569 for 60 Gig).
Now, Imagine a color screen MP3 player, GPS system, and a handheld gaming device. Now you have the Gizmondo.....coming soon, and looking SWEEEEEET !!! TAKE A LOOK DD
-I think our suspension was finally finished and it was up today or yesterday. Also i have been looking to get an ipod forever i guess this gives me a bit more reason to wait and get the new version that comes out =)
(1) Ugly. It looks like it was designed by Tiger Electronics. (2) Definitely not small and light. (3) Windows CE? Why would anybody willingly subject themselves to that? If you want a multifunctional handheld game machine, go for it. I don't see it as an iPod (or Palm/PocketPC) competitor though.
i really don't see the benefit for a color screen iPod...album art is pretty useless and just takes up space...and is it really necessary to have the artist and song name written in color?
Who actually downloads from legit sites to get all that info. Im sure you can only get most of that if you download from itunes and stuff. Im sure for the novice who has money it looks all good and dandy. For practical users it won't make a difference i guess. I just saw the price and i would not be paying that much to see color on my screen.
not to disagree with you stack...but all my bootleg full album downloads come equipped with front and back album art
So it's the same ipod ... with color? I see another Christmastime hit if it comes out before Christmas. And of course you need to replace your "colorless" ipod with a color one... everybody's doing it! Think of all the advantages you now have! Y'all buy 'em... this stock rocks...
I am so glad apple keeps pumping out later and greater Ipods, ebay is going to be chock full of cheap ass older ipods that are just as functional, just they don't have some new dumb gimmick attached to them.
yeah i know what you mean most of the newer albums i get i do have the front and back art but i usually delete them. I use to keep the cd cover though and actually make them and put them on the cd but that got a little tiresome and costly =0 ) Hypothetically if you did have those cd's of course.
I started organizing my music library with iTunes and I just went out and googled for album pictures...I only have like 13 albums in total though in the library
My library is up to close to 650 CD's now but they are just organized through folders that's about it. Here is a good site to get covers and stuff if you are looking for any. http://www.cdcovers.cc/ that is where i used to get all mine.
Well, it would be easier to use the link I posted - it takes some time, but it can run in the background...iArt just grabs cover pictures for all your songs from amazon.com - all automatic - and free.
