He mentioned his international experience playing against Dwight Howard, Yao, and others. I think that's a good point that he made.

I don't expect a lot, but I was impressed by his attitude.

lol talks like Shaq to me.

Idk who starts him or Dorsey. Either way to me I still think that he will be a bust. I mean come on since 2002 the Hawks had the rights to him and its not 2009. It doesn't take that long to develop.

Well there you have it folks, straight from the horses mouth: for anyone still wondering, he is a hybrid of KG and Dirk.

Let's see... the 7-footer with proven international experience and several championships under his belt... or the rookie that lacked motivation last season, got injured, and gained a bunch of weight. It's a head-scratcher, indeed.

Scola didn't do too shabby after we picked up his rights from San Antonio and he was what, 27?

Hmmm Lets see. NBA style of play vs. International overseas style of play... It's a head-scratcher indeed :D

Yeah, like Dorsey's seen a lot of "NBA style of play"... "NBA style of play" is the reason he couldn't get in games.... oh, and of course that foot thing that seems to randomly pop up nowadays. :D

Yeah, I guess Dorsey's 3 minutes of NBA play trumps the years and championships Andersen has.

Scola hasn't adjusted either, right? We should just start Landry.

Man, everyone says he looks like Sura but I think he's a dead ringer for Harry Conick Jr.

Well I could have sworn the reason he couldn't get in NBA games was because Yao and Deke took over the center position. Either way I guess I'll prove my point once training camp starts and guys can see my point. Don't expect this guy to just come here and light it up. A hybrid of KG and Dirk. HAHAHA that has got to be a joke. We will see. He should have just kept his mouth shut and let his game do the talking.

Ok Scola and Andersen are 2 different people. Just because Scola did it do you automatically think Andersen is going to have the same success. Hmmm lets see another reason why Scola did it was maybe because 2 guys by the name of Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming took all the attention away from Scola to shine.

Im not hating on Scola or anything he did his thing but what will he do now. No McGrady. No Yao. What will Scola and Andersen do.

3 mins of play + training camp + 2 years of summer league play = Better than Mr. Andersen. Im sorry but he is not the ONE.

I don't really buy the Scola/Andersen comparisons, other than the fact that they both played Euro ball.

We need to make sure that our expectations aren't too high for Andy or there's going to be a LOT of disappointed CF threads.

Scola had a fairly erratic rookie year and even admitted a few times that there is a transition to make from the Euro game to the NBA game.

We're gonna have to cut the guy some slack. He's getting thrown into the fire now that Yao is out. Just treat it like an evaluation year.

eh, Andersen said he structured his game similarly too KJ and Dirk and said "I wouldn't say compare" to the guys. Much more humble reply to Friedman's request to compare his game to current NBA players than being interpretted in the thread.

BTW, Friedman is a great interviewer. :p
