Hey you all, I am currently a male junior marketing major at Texas A&M University and have been searching for any available marketing internship/co-op positions for the summer of 2009. I was wondering if you all knew of or are currently looking for a student to fill that position. If you could send me an email to cthannoon@tamu.edu, I would gladly tell you more about myself and also include my resume. This will be my first year to intern and I am excited for the opportunity to work in a field I truly enjoy. Thanks for your time and suggestions.
It's funny you mention post this thread. My marketing department told me they will likely be hiring an intern for this summer... I work for an engineering company in the oil/gas industry. Send me your resume at clutch.citizen@gmail.com
Sorry I forgot to mention. I'm in the Sugar Land area. I don't know if you were looking for one in Houston or not
if you are good with basic search engine marketing and understand HTML or CSS, you should try to applying for a few firms in NYC thats hiring.
Since I live in Houston I was hoping to find something here, maybe an internship with the Rockets or Astros, or even 610 a.m. I would really like to find something sports related. The only other city outside of Houston I could work would be in Boston, Massachusetts since I have family there too.
Have you tried the A&M athletics marketing office? You could also shoot an e-mail to the Rice and UH athletics marketing offices. You won't get paid and there may not be much to do during the summer, but you'll get references and a job to put on the resume.
Oh wow, if you are looking at sports, especially the Astros (or Texans) then you are as good as in. You'll only get minimum wage. Check the TAMU job site. Seriously, those organizations love slave labor interns, you are in.
yea i figured they would not pay a lot if anything at all. I want to be in sports marketing so I figured going to intern with one of Houston's major sports teams would be good for my resume. I know that you can email your resume online to the rockets and astros but you have to answer a bunch of useless questions before you can submit your resume. I was planning on just driving to the stadiums so I could give my resume to someone and know its in their hands, would i be wasting my time?
Here is the most recent info in my old email for all the stuff TAMU sent via Astros/Texans... I forget what any of it means, they might not be there anymore, who knows. I never contacted them.
