I have a wireless network..two computers work..desktop connected to router by cable and laptop connected wirelessly..but the other has been having internet problems (desktop connected by powerbridge outlets..always worked before). I have to go to internet connections and click repair repeatedly to like spark it and get it to work. Sometimes it just sends and receives a little bit and like dies again. Sometimes it's just Internet Explorer that doesn't work. Does anyone know what's wrong?
Yea, same problem here. I have four computer hooked up to wireless and they work alright. Problem is with one of my laptops. It never gets any sort of signal. Why is that?
Mine did that too. I had to change the connection to PPoe. I don't know if that will fix your guys problem, but no harm trying. Go to your routers home page to do it.
Starting point: update the firmware on the router and update the NIC drivers on all PCs. On the PC that is connected directly to the router, is it going into hibernation or suspect mode that causes it to lose connectivity?
Probably, your best bet is to buy a wireless router and connect it between the DSL and your current computer. Then purchase a wireless network card for the computer in the other room. (When I say 'wireless' i suggest that you get a router and network card that support the 802 11g standard - this is better than the previous standard of 802 11b). Check out this nifty configurator thingy: link
I'm trying to connect an Xbox and a ReplayTV through a switch which feeds a wireless game adaptor that connects to my wireless router. Either works fine on their own through the switch, a computer and one of the two works fine, but the two together don't work. Any ideas why?
