Which Dream Team would win? PG: Nash, Parker SG: Stojakovic, Turkoglu SF: Nowitzki, Kirilenko PF: Duncan, Gasol C: Ming, Divac Additional potential reserves: Jaric, Giricek, Ginobili, Hilario, Fox, Ilgauskas, Olowokandi, Mutombo...and more... PG: Kidd, Francis SG: Bryant, McGrady SF: Garnett, Pierce PF: Webber, Brand C: Shaq, Ben Wallace You might think it would be a blowout win for the USA, but...I am not so sure. I would love to see that game.
The NBA lists him as an international player, so I thought...might as well try to make it more even . http://www.nba.com/players/international_player_directory.html
That is so weird. I mean, they listed him as an international player but he was born in the US Virgin Islands. I am confused now.
nice try SJC, but Duncan wants to play for Team USA. http://www.allsports.com/cgi-bin/showstory.cgi?story_id=36675
I bet his chances in the Olympics would be better that way than if he joined the U.S. Virgin Islands squad. I meant a game that could be a part of the All-Star weekend one day...players of international origin against U.S. born players. Okay...take Duncan out...put Olowokandi in at PF...
I'd be more interested in players drafted from US schools versus those drafted exclusively out of international federations/schools. In that case, you'd have to take Duncan, Nash, Olowakandi and Mutombo off your team, too. hehe
Better question, what is Francis doing there instead of Payton or even Iverson or Marbury? Pierce over Marion?? Brand over Jermaine O'Neal?
Oh my....the United States has too many players. PROBLEM IS........THEY CAN'T ALL PLAY AT THE SAME TIME. Either way, the USA would win...would be close though.
If you can keep Duncan on the international squad...I think they could actually win against a USA squad. Ming and Duncan win in the post.....3,2,1 is probably a draw, unless someone is handing out style points.
It would be a spirited and fun-to-watch competition. Therefore it cannot occur. The chance for US to take a hit is too strong.
