Ranked by.............Charley Rosen. Definitely not a YOF.... :D

It just so happens that the best foreign-born player currently in the league is also the all-time best in this category. That would be Tim Duncan, who was born in St. Croix, in the Virgin Islands.

Of those still active, here are the others who make the cut:

    2. Steve Nash (South Africa). Yes, he's a double MVP, but superior big men are more valuable than superior guards.

    3. Manu Ginobili (Argentina). He rates this high on the list because he's been a winner at every level of competition.

    4. Yao Ming (China). If he stays healthy (and if he ever plays on a championship-caliber ball club), he could wind up being one of the best imports ever.

Manu Ginobili is a very nice player and all that, but to rank him before Yao is insane. In fact, I would take Parker and Dirk before Ginobili as well.

    Manu , a winner ?
Anyone : 1 play alongside with TD, TP in the spurs
2 stick to the defender like a parasite when penetrating
    is a winner

    Ok , Rosen , BTW , u r pretty objective on DIRRRRRRRRRRK

Yao should at least be in the TOP 3, considering how he helps the team

Dxxn it , he just wanna annoy everyone ?

Steve Nash was born in Johannesburg, South Africa....and IIRC, I read before he still has a South Africa nationality......

Don't forget the ALL TIME BEST imports!!

So as not to duplicate any players on the two lists, all of the currently active players will be excluded from the all-time best category:

    1. Hakeem Olajuwon (Nigeria). Not only was he an extraordinary player, he's also an extraordinary human being.

    2. Dominique Wilkins (France). A great scorer and the best two-footed jumper ever.

    3. Detlef Schrempf (Germany). He could pass, score, rebound and had a genius-level basketball IQ.

    4. Dikembe Mutombo (Zaire). Since only his ghost is still active, his defense and shot-blocking prowess grandfathers him onto this list.

Ginobli has a lot more rings. I second that. But I don't consider people from U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and Puerto Rico international players. That's AMERICA, baby.

Manu is a winner cause he won all champions, NBA champion, FIBA champion, Olympic Champion. And he's a key player in all these championship teams.

I agree...Yao is the best in his position. Ginobili is maybe a top 10...

Did Charley Rosen forget about Hakeem Olajuwon when he made this remark? With this statement, does it mean that he truly believes Yao can be better than Hakeem if he stays healthy???? Another YOF..... ;)

He never played for Team South Africa but he was born in South Africa which definitely make him an 'import'.

Well. USA did not import him from South Africa. He's imported from Canada. I am not saying he's not an import, he is, but not from South Africa.

Nobody comes even close to Hakeem "the dream" Olajuwon....no bias opinion involved.
