This is not a Tmac bashing thread.. but me wanting to start a discussion about why?

    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6194095.html

Wouldn't you think it would help for him to play against Boston rather than Philly??

But it does remind me of last season, Tmac out against Boston and we nearly won anyway... that sort of gave us the "yes we can" attitude for the streak imho - since we hung with the Celtics without our facilitator

I think Adelman should decide if T-Mac should play in games, not T-Mac.

It would make sense to play against Boston because then he has more rest days on his knee. However, if he plays against Boston and he is not 100% committed because of knee soreness we will lose for sure.

    Good point!

This is out of control. What's next? TMac decides that Artest should play PF? TMac decides to rename the team to the BIgMacs?

Give him 1 more day of rest.. play him against Boston.

I mean shouldn't he want to play that game since he knows we need him more. Boston or Philly and he chooses Philly

    What a loser.

If he's going to keep playing like he has the last few games, this actually does give the team the best chance to beat Boston. At least we won't have to see McGrady standing in the paint watching Ray Allen run around screens all night like we did last time these teams played.

It doesn't surprise me at all the first I saw this article. What T-Mac thinks right now might be to rest up for this 2 day off and play a bit concentrated in Philly, then he can just dress himself up on the bench, laughing, talking and watching how bad this situation is and to point out how important he is to this team.

What a loser,Philly could be easily handed a loss if we played with intensity and our suffocating defense. But Boston is a challenge ahead,he should make up his mind silencing any challenge to be a contender instead of choosing to rest.Damn, his attitude will never change because he is NOT eager to win,no ambition,no heart to win a champ.

what a little b!tch t-mac has come to be lately, why would adelman or morey approve of such nonsense from our "star" player, even players on the thunder are not doing these types of things

get him out of here already. we need to win with players who can play every night, and who also want to win.

I was sort of thinking the same thing here. Maybe they feel like if they can't have Tmac fully healthy against Boston he's more harm then good.

I can't really see that though, since everyone has said 70% of Tmac on the floor is better than anything else we have (though Wafer played well the last two games)

    Bah, read people.

He is "expected" to play at Philly means that by default he is supposed to play the first game of back-to-backs. But Adelman says no decision has been reached yet. This is a non-story until an actual decision is made.

I did read it, that's why I opened discussion... lol and I prefaced it with this is not a tmac bashing thread.

I am just curious of what people think, if he should play on Tues or Wed.

Honestly, I wish he would play both or neither. Indecision is the biggest problem for this team at this point imho.

LOL -- People are so single minded in their intent to vituperate against McGrady that they can't be bothered to even read the article before blaming McGrady for it.

Yeah, and that's the same thing Adelman says. The biggest problem right now is finding it hard to plan for games and for teammates to get ready because they don't know whether they're going to be depending on McGrady or not. In my opinion though, the teammates are also part of the problem here -- the fact that they defer so much to McGrady when he is on the court. They ought to be playing the same roles regardless of who is playing, and so far they haven't figured out how to do that ... and that's part of the problem.

    I DONT UNDERSTAND

Why you guys want him to play in Boston?

What difference will it make? Like Tracy is going to do anything?

If Adelman is saying that its starting to wear on the guys then trust me that there's got to be some serious locker room problems (major dissention) between the players and Tracy. With the current effort Tracy is giving while on the court, I think they would be much better off with Von Wafer at this point. T-Mac has really put the rockets management in a very very tough spot.

It is obviously BAD. I mean yeah, if he is gonna bring his 2/10 than it will only help Boston beat us.

But we can easily win in Philly (I hope so) and we need his lazy ass in Boston much more.

But Tmac is not a role player or 6th man. He's supposed to be #1 or 2 option. There's a huge difference between Head and Tmac sitting out. When he sits out everyone has to adjust their offensive play.
