Here's an interesting stat, perhaps. The Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets are the only teams in the league that have not lost a game by more than 10 points. Meaning? We've been close, so it's not like we're playing that bad. Phoenix is ridiculous- their worst loss was by 5 points in overtime. Sick. While the Rockets are criticized by many for their lack of fire, and they have lost some games to "perceived" bad teams, they have not been blown out of any game. Does this mean that we are talented enough to stay in every game? Or can this be attributed to the style of B-ball we play? Don't know. All I know is that we're not as bad as our record would indicate. A few calls or shots here and there, and we're in one of the top spots. A loss is a loss, but I do feel this stat indicates our ability/desire to stay in every game. Perhaps. Conversely, even though Seattle is 11-2, both of their losses were by 30 and 21 points, respectively. Something to watch for.
yeah thank god we've been losing so many close games...i thought we had something to worry about there for a second ...
Never said losing was good, smart a**, only pointed out that it does indicate something positive, perhaps something to build on. But I suppose it's easier to be sarcastic and not read through a post thoroughly these days.
The problem is that these close losses were because we blew leads in the 4th quarter. There is almost nothing positive about losing.
It is style of play .. . @ L.A. Clippers L 84 - 114 0-1 [1st game of the season] 11/21/04 L 102-83 @ Boston They are more up and down than we are Plus I do beleive we have better defense [I hope] Rocket River
Of course, the future would look a lot less bright had we not even had the 4th quarter leads to blow. I take it as a good sign and something that we can build upon after the first month of the season.
I am sure we have had one loss, that were made to look better because or opponet already had the game won by the end of the third quater. I could be wrong though cause I have not watched all the games this year. Can we factor that in?
