The way things are looking, I dont think Gasol will even be there at No. 8. Apparently the Celtics are packaging both picks 10 and 11 in an attempt to move up into the top 5 to draft Gasol.

You think that the 10,11 and Kenny Anderson for the 5th and Vonteego Cummings would get it done for Boston?

I think they'll just swap 10, 11 for 5. The Warriors need a PG and Tinsley would fit the bill. The other pick can be utilized on best frontcourt talent avail. Its very possible that Diop or Chandler, the players GSW supposedly are looking at for the 5th overall selection, could fall to the 10-11 range with Gasol moving up.

Golden State already has the 14th pick, why would they want the 10th and 11th too? Seems to me they'd be much more likely to trade up than down.

Chicago might be a willing partner at 4 or Vancouver at 6 though.

Hobbs, Chicago could also be interested. I dont think Van will want to do it tho b/c they are zeroed in on Jason Richardson. For the Warriors it makes sense b/c players they are looking at players like Tyson Chandler, DeSagana Diop and Jamaal Tinsley which can possibly be had later than the 5th pick.

I think Boston is willing to give up two picks to move up and take Gasol is because they know they have to buy him out of his contract, and giving up two picks free up cap space that should of been going to a Ganranteed contract for a lottery selection.
