http://www.netsdaily.com/2010/8/7/1610658/nyet-to-nets-in-brooklyn Imho, the road to a successful franchise all starts at the top with ownership. Give this guy a couple years experience under his belt and I think he will salvage the Nets out of irrelevance and into contention. Can you imagine what it would've been like if this Russian guy and his deep pockets were to team up with Morey??? *shudder* Although I feel like he's a little too business oriented and not as passionate as Les about bball in general.
I'm no fan of Russian moguls that became rich from exploiting the privatization of state mining concerns, but I always enjoy when Phil Jackson gets put in his place.
he just has money. i don't see him playing a very important role in the future of the nets other than that. he has the dough to hire the very best, but i seriously doubt that phil jackson would move to new jersey before retiring. money isn't the only thing needed to assemble the right chemistry between ownsership, coaching, and roster.
