    Hey guys, i was reading through the draft picks at NBA.net. hope this hastn been posted yet but this guy seems like he would be a great fit at 2-guard for us.

    Richard Roby from Colorado projected at #25
    (similar game to alan houston)

    Not a fan of Roby's. Too streaky, poor shot selection, no handles.

    Don't know much about Fernandez.

    roby is talented, but like it was said earlier he is very streaky. on size and talent alone he'll be a first round pick but i think we'll get a more polished and consistent player at #8.

    i don't know much about fernandez other than he's been rumored to be in the draft the past couple of years and now he may be in for good. never seen any videos or anything so i can't comment on his game.

    Roby would be a solid pickup at #32. No one in his right mind would consider him at #8.

    We'd have to acquire (a) draft pick(s) in the 20-30 range in order to pick up this guy in the draft.

    Not that it's impossible. We do need depth. But how different is he than Keith Bogans (Bogans' 2 or 3 years NBA experience notwithstanding)?

    bogans is 6'5, undersized for a sg, and not good enough handles for a pg
    thats the difference, these guys that are late draft picks are 6'7, 6'8..good size


    i dont think we should completely give up on our late picks, you never know, tony parker was the 28th pick one year, and manu ginobili was a 2nd rounder. id take those guys over any of the possible #1's even with all heart they provide
    sometimes thats more important to look for than raw talent

    As the resident CU fan, I guess I should post some stuff here. Roby's a solid player. Good slasher. Has the talent to be GREAT, but really needs coaching. He's not getting any from Patton at CU (who is quite possibly the worst coach in D1 ball). CU fans are hoping he'll come back for another year and, while I see the logic of coming out now (weak draft), he'd be a much better player in a year.

    Good defender, great hops. With coaching, could be a solid starter eventually. As is, he's a rotation player, but not much more.
