Francis also tried to give Yao a high-five after Yao's free throw. A sad moment. You got to like Steve's personality and his love for his old teammates.
I think you guys may be digging a little too deep here... That happened after T-Mac made a bad pass to Yao on a fast break. Yao was streaking down the middle of the court to the basket and T-Mac saw him, threw him a pass, but Declerq tipped it out of bounds. A better pass would have given Yao an easy slam because he was wide open. T-Mac knew it and went right to Yao to say he was sorry. That's it.
LOL...SF was trying to go over to slap Yao's hand and congratulate him making the FT... then he pulled back knowing that the Magics fans wouldn't like to see it
http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=90154 This is being explained in the Orlando/Rockets Thread 1/24 Basically, after Yao hit his first free throw of the game, Steve was going up to Yao to give him a high five, but stopped halfway when he realized what he was doing.
It would be terribly funny if he had really done it. Has anyone ever seen a player high five another player of the other team because that player has just scored on his own team?
Ha, that was pretty funny. I also found it ironic that Weis-what-ever-his-name-is is sitting there talking about how much better his team is without T-Mac....at the same time his team is down by 16 to the team with T-Mac.
They are better now though then when they had TMac. Basically over the las year they lost TMac, but gained Steve, a healthy Grant Hill, Doug Christie, Dwight Howard, and Kelvin Cato, who gives them a presence down low that Howard certainly did not. They're much better off now than when they had McGrady.
