Cirque du Soleil and the Beatles?

    http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...=7&u=/ap/20041014/ap_en_ot/beatles_vegas_show

This will be great for me......I LOVE Cirque du Soleil productions, but I wonder how Beatles' fans will react. Cirque du Soleil is known for live music.....so this effectively means a cover band.......though I suspect Cirque will have some artistic freedom to interpret the songs however they feel.

I find this news depressing. I hate to start bashing the French, but Cirque de Soleil is just wrong and the Beatles are just about the only thing I have faith in. Oh, well.

I assume you mean that you hate to start bashing CANADIAN French.

What is so wrong with Cirque du Soleil?

I've enjoyed the Cirque De Soliel Shows in Vegas. I've seen them all. With "O" at Bellagio being the best. And I liked the intamacy of "Zumanity" at NYNY.
I plan to take another trip to Vegas for the Final Four and see "KA" at MGM which opens in November. I'll also be checking out Penn and Teller at Rio.
This new "Beatles" one wont open for almost 2 years.

Yoko's involved. $10 it never makes it out of pre-production.
