"We had a great game passing the ball and our spacing was excellent," said Battier, who went 5-for-7 from 3-point range. "When we play like that, everybody gets shots and when you move the ball like that, you have more confidence in your shooting. Good things happen when you run the offense the way you are supposed to." This was with Artest in the game with Battier.
Yeah, it's amazing what can happen when you don't have a player that refuses to move without the ball and camps out by the three point line watching everyone else run plays
Clearly when Tmac is in there the offense stops, he makes it all about himself. The team is better without Tracy, and maybe Tracy can get some perspective as he watches the team take off without him. His ego is taking a hit, but he needs to really think about what he wants as a basketball player, the adulation of being TMac, or the wins. DD
Funny how the leads don't vanish when the ball is moving around and everyone is touching it...the defense can't focus on just stopping one or two guys..... Weird how that works. DD
No use for the team to pine over a teammate who won't be with them all season. It's better to boost up the guys who are playing instead. It's smart, and I don't think TMac should care.
haha , i come from china , i like houston all the player , but i like Tmac very much . i do not know how to say , i know little english. i hope Tmac come back as soon as possible . TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT-mac fighting ........ Shane Battier is a good player . in china many people like him , we call he Batman . so everyone in rockets come on . beat la beat jazz haha
can ron be our new closer in the late of games? we need someone to do that. we used to hope tmac would do. now he is out. who will take over in 4th qt? yao will be limited by opponent defense.
Yao is the focus, and the team plays off what he creates, or rather what the defense gives up as they focus on Yao. DD
Tmac really gone now. Questions: 1, how far Rockets can go this season in this totally we-don't-have-Tmac situation. 2, can "Tmac" Tmac come back? or un-Tmac Tmac will be still in his mind.
LOL ... I'm still trying to figure out what was so particularly interesting about the comments. Battier: "We play well when we move the ball around." ClutchFans: "Battier said that T-Mac is a ball stopper and they're glad he's not playing!" Conjecture much?
That's what a motion offense is all about. Why couldn't JVG find a way to win without T-Mac unlike RA? There you have it.
Interesting indeed. Funny how Tracy last year during his injury he was how well the other guys flowed and the offense was much better without him and he wanted to play within the system. He came back and was still the same old Tracy, except for a few games during the streak. This year, he said the same thing and guess what, he came back and started jacking up 3s and just stand around, stagnating the offense way worse than Artest has ever done. Result: we lose games, the chemistry we showed during the stretch he was out and Wafer started was gone and it's back to standing around offense. Conclusion: Tracy, though saying the right things, will never play within an offense the way the rest does. Artest is WAY more of a teamplayer than Tracy, just watch all the games this year. Artest moves without the ball, stays within the offense and occasionally forces it and goes 1-on-1. Tracy walks up the court, therefor we never get a fastbreak when that a-hole is in the game (it's disgusting), waits for the pick and then jacks up a shot or takes a few steps and then shoots it. Moving without the ball is not a concept in Tracy's mind anymore. Thus, Tracy should never be forced to play on a team with a flowing, motion offense where he is not the center of the offense. Therefore, his time is up with the Rockets and he should just play for a team where is #1. P.S. The Rockets should force him to change his jersey number, maybe that will take the "mental" aspect of believing he is number 1 away
then let tracy sit out then, and that's what tracy wants. everybody is happy. now let's focus on the players we have now dammit.
