"While adored by fans, who nicknamed him "Stevie Franchise," Steve Francis had become a petulant troublemaker and had took his best friend Cuttino Mobley along for the ride."

As a reporter, Mark Passwaters has covered the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy, 37 executions and the arrest of an armed robbery suspect whose pants fell down during a chase. He is the managing editor of a newspaper in Texas.

I quit reading this piece of trash after he questioned Mobley's defense.

He should stick to covering executions, arrests and other tragedies.

AMEN to this grammatical mistake. I despise people who get paid and still write like Karla Malone speaks. They're like a Saturday... they have no class!

Mark Passwaters is very much a hack. He use to write for the Texas A&M newspaper, the Battalion, so I am very familiar with his work. He is by no means a reporter, he only wrote for the opinion section. There isn't a single bit of evidence or a source mentioned at all in this article.

He's also an egomaniac. The last thing he wrote was a farewell to Texas A&M and "f*ck you" to the liberal students. In my time here, he is the only guy who wrote an article about himself because he was graduating.

Well, it's an opinion piece, so he doesn't need to cite any sources, although some specific examples (Super Bowl, anyone?) would have made his point a little more credible. He obviously doesn't know much about Mobely although he wasn't too far off on Francis.

Also, was the "egomaniac" comment really necessary? I mean, you already said that the guy went to A&M. ;)

Translated: Even though the article is full of falsehoods, and the writer apparently has no inside information on the topic, since I don't like Francis he was still right about that.
