Should the Rockets go after Myles Turner? Offer him 4yr/$120M.

Teams are getting bigger along the frontline and having a player who can block shots, and shoot 3's helps our interior defense and spread the court. Plus it will free up Alpi inside.

    C- Turner
    PF- Alpi
    SF - Brooks
    G- Amen
    G- Jalen

Even though it's your usual size queen schtick, I do actually agree that Turner would be a nice fit, after seeing how well Adams + Sengun has worked out at times. Not at $120M over four years though, that's a bit too rich for my blood.

Would depend on how much money he wants and what kind of assets Indy would want for a sign and trade.

How much cap space do the rockets have? Can they offer him 4/120?

how good is Myles Turner? Pacers have had him forever and aren't taken seriously at all. With Pascal Siakam and Hali you'd think Pacers would be seen as a contender by now if he was really worth 30M

I’d rather trade Sengun than pay him to be a PF if he can’t shoot

Could be any numerous of reasons but if you give Ime a Center who can block shots and spread the court, I think he can do a lot with that.

Yeah we can't sign him from free agency, we don't have enough cap space without gutting the roster. Already discussed this recently in another thread. We would have to acquire him via SnT

Yes to Turner; he would fit great. A rim protector who is a good long range shooter that can play 4/5 fits a need. But I suspect that if he finally leaves Indy, it will be for big money that we can’t compete with. It’s harder and harder to find a FA of Turner’s caliber, and it’s not like this is a good FA class. Turner will have an expensive market.

I’d rather go after a Jonathan Issac. Better defender, rim protector and rebounder, younger, and much cheaper (locked in at $15 mil per). Not a shooter but very Tari-like. We just need a guy who can give us 15 min of rim protection or who can start in a pinch.

That would mean they would play double big for most sets. If they play double big sparingly this move makes little sense. Playing this lineup has its drawbacks since there would only be 2 3 pt shooters and using it may be dependent on the situation. Double big lineups have had mixed results with Amen in the lineup. They were 2-3 with Amen, Jabari, and Jalen. They were 7-2 with Amen, Brooks, Jalen.

At this point, how much better or an upgrade is he to Jabari?
