Duncan has been playing the 5 for a while, they just always list him at the 4 no matter what. Even when DeJuan Blair is starting, Duncan will still be listed as a power forward on the box-scorea, when he's really a center. It's fine by me, I don't really care. If Tim Duncan cares, let him care.

    David West for expiring contracts?

If getting under LT is their goal. The Hornets can just salary dump Hilton Armstrong's expiring contract plus either Devin Brown, or Diogu or Marks or
    Bobby Brown or Thornton.

If so, they might as well trade CP3, too... that team ain't going nowhere fast.

Maybe if it happens for the Spurs, CP3 will demand a trade and the Rockets can make a play for him.

Yea agree, its pretty much known the Hornets are STRUGGLING financially and need to get rid of West before the deadline but if Roger Mason Jr is the best player there getting back...its Gasol to the Lakers all over again.

At least Memphis got Marc Gasol, who is a pretty good player.

    What Jefferson trade?

The Richard Jefferson trade happened months ago. That thread is from today.

Edit: Nevermind, I think I see what you're saying. You're legitimizing the source I assume.

I could of swore I read somewhere in one of the GARM threads where the CP3 talk was going on that if West was moved or something, CP3 would become unhappy[and perhaps ask for a trade]? Any truth to this or anyone know what I'm talking about?
    Thanks

If they trade CP3 and West away they may as well give us Okafor and fold the organisation.

If NO's gonna move West, does that make CP3 available....cause he'd probably be pissed since he'll be the only all star on the team.

No matter what happens, NO won't let go of CP3. They would have no identity, no relevance in the league without him. Which is why they are trying to get rid of D. West first. They'd rather have an unhappy CP3 than lose tons of money.

West or no West one thing is obvious. Spurs will improve before the deadline.

West hasn't been playing all that well this year (the game against our Rox the other day notwithstanding) so I see this as a possibility. Surely they aren't going anywhere as is and have to be losing $ hand over fist. Spurs have needed to realize that Duncan is a 5 for a long time. They need to quit playing so many semi athletic swing men and find some athletic 4 that rebound his position and make some plays in the paint and mid paint. If that person is West then his offense is just a plus. Maybe not as long a player as I think they need but the need to stop playing Duncan with another slow big or Duncan with the 4 guards thing.
